Hello!lauren. My Favorite tree would be a Balsam Fir with multicolored glass balls on it with flickering bulbs.

The smell of a balsam tree is Christmas to me.What memories.

Thank you, Lauren, for preparing the Canteen for today’s activities.

DC Metroland weather report
~ Today....Sunshine and a few afternoon clouds. High 47F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.
~ Tonight....Mostly cloudy skies. Low 34F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Can't say that I have a favorite ornament. I think the lights make a tree. I put red bows on my tree. I've really come to like the looks of that. Hardly any bulbs, mostly a few old bulbs that were among the first I ever bought. I have plenty of personal ornaments given by family or a few I bought from the White House. And, then Colonial Williamsburg has sent me a few that I add to the tree.

Time for me to make my rounds. But, you stay right where you are. Don't touch that dial. Don't change that channel. Put down that remote. Don't leave the room. Keep your eyes on your monitor. Cause...............I'll be bock!

Now remember, the Canteen is ALWAYS

So, come on in and sit for a while. There's always plenty of coffee, pancakes, conversation, silliness, and plain old BS
