Exactly, it really is the only reasonable hope. Many of the law enforcement problems that illegals create are local problems and should be handled as such.

I forget who said it but someone claimed last week that Bubba had slept with more black girls than Oblama!! I suppose this is a true credential in the Dem/rat party.

Yessiree...attrition is key, along with closed borders. Until we see how many leave because they can't get jobs, we won't know what we're dealing with. It may not be a huge problem.
I hear reports that Windsor Canada is upset that so many illegals are headed their way.
W and Rove have wrongly supported agriculture and business' access to much needed and cheaper labor, but an accelerated LEGAL program could provide much of those workers, but again we won't know how many we need until attrition has occurred.

We always have the big question of evolving. How will a candidate evolve once elected President? Perhaps the hardest of all to answer.

That was Andrew Young, who also said Hillary’s experience was managing the organization that investigated Bill’s bimbo eruptions. I’m not making this up. Rush had the audio. Unbelievable.

Your evolving your opinion of Romney is very different from his evolving his own political positions.
Sure Reagan was once a democrat, but he didnt change from democrat to panderer, he changed to conservative.
So Romney looks good? Romney panders. Thompson leads.
We’ve had a lot of pandering during the past seven years.

Nothing to defend, it’s pretty obvious. If you disagree, why should I care? You don’t like what I say, don’t read it. You want to argue, there are plenty of threads we avoid, for that. Happy trails, I’m done w/u.

Please see link in #464 regarding “evolving.” Your candidate is not immune.

Thanks, snugs. Looks like AP is doing some soul-searching too.
Democrats Poised for Some Soul-Searching.
Congressional Democrats will have plenty to ponder during the Christmas and New Year's break. For instance, why did things go so badly this fall and how well did their leaders serve them?
In a string of setbacks this past week, Democratic leaders yielded to Bush and his allies on Iraq war money, tax and health policies, and spending decisions affecting billions of dollars throughout the government.
The concessions stunned many Democrats, who saw the 2006 elections as a mandate to redirect the war and Bush's domestic priorities. Instead, they found his goals unchanged and his clout barely diminished.

Is that the royal “we” bray or do you have a mouse in your pocket (if I may quote Chick Hearn)?
And I’ll take your non-defense (of the indefensible) as an admission.

Thanks so much for posting this one Anita!
This is a huge story!!
, The unpopularity of Congress and how little they have actually gotten done after crying so loudly that we needed a dem/rat congress.
Can't wait to see how they try and spin this one and you know they will.
