FReeper Scott Swett will join Loud & Clear (Central Jersey 1450 AM WCTC) to discuss his new book, "To Set The Record Straight" today (Saturday, December 15th).

Mr. Swett will be the guest of Keith Rasmussen and Maggie Glynn who host Loud & Clear on Central Jersey 1450 - 1 pm to 4 pm Eastern. He will join Loud & Clear at 3:30 pm (Eastern).

Scott Swett created and managed the web sites SwiftVets.com and WinterSoldier.com during the 2004 campaign, working closely with Swift boat veterans, former POWs and other Vietnam veterans to help bring their experiences to the public.

Sen. John Kerry's 2004 presidential bid became the catalyst for an unprecedented political movement by Vietnam veterans who had long resented his false 1971 testimony that U.S. troops were routinely committing war crimes.

Despite the best efforts of the Democratic Party and its media affiliates, they succeeded in reaching out to the public and turning the presidential campaign upside down.

Here, for the first time, is the complete story of how - and why - they did it.

During the Vietnam War, the original television networks and the leading liberal newspapers were near the peak of their formidable persuasive powers, able to dominate public opinion to an extent difficult to imagine today. In an age without cable news networks, popular conservative radio shows or the Internet, they were the only game in town. What these organizations chose to cover became news, and what they ignored did not. They used that power to instill Kerry's false portrait of American veterans as misfits, drug addicts and baby killers into the popular culture.

When John Kerry made his service in Vietnam the cornerstone of his presidential campaign in 2004, the wounds he had inflicted on millions of Vietnam veterans were re-opened. Many veterans decided they could no longer be silent while a man who had repeated the propaganda of America's enemies rose to the position of Commander-in-Chief.

Kerry and his advisors believed that their old media allies would suppress any challenge to their version of what Kerry had done during his time in Vietnam and in the antiwar movement. It didn't work out that way.

To Set the Record Straight is the inside story of how an ad hoc collection of veterans and activists overcame their opponents' efforts to silence and marginalize them, and delivered the explosive truth about John Kerry's past to the public. It is a story of justice and vindication long delayed, of an insurgent assault on the old media by a new wave of online reporters, and of the long struggle of America's Vietnam veterans to make their way home.

Mr. Swett appeared on WCTC in New Jersey three years ago. The lib callers convulsed into a fevered frenzy, but couldn’t lay a glove on him.

Don’t be shy. WCTC streams live at wctcam.com (the *Listen Live* button is near the top left of the page). CONSERVATIVE callers are rare, but always welcome at 888 545-9282.

Better hurry while they're still on the air. They just lost two more stations.

I’m with you...read then gift. I too have it, but must often put it down when blood boils.... Only thing that could have saved us from our current mess is President Joe McCarthy! Reagan was brilliant with “We Win, They Lose”, unfortunately he only applied it offshore while he was president! (tho’ the flight controller union effort on his part was reassuring) And I’m fairly certain he knew we needed a strong dose here as well, and was probably extremely conflicted when it came to his own country’s failings. The book doesn’t fall short in identifying the source of the failings, that’s for sure. What’s clear is the extent to which we’ve been ‘infiltrated’, and how close to the mark Savage is with his ‘enemy within’ issue!
