LOS ANGELES, CA, December 14, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Barbara Walters likes to receive Christmas greetings from high-profile celebrities and leaders, but apparently not if they refer to the Bible.
On Thursday's episode of ABC's The View, Walters expressed dismay that President and Mrs. Bush would send out greetings containing Scripture.
During the segment, Walters showed the other gals some of the "highfalutin Christmas cards," and explained the White House card:

Frankly, yeah. I certainly acknowledge their holy days. If the roles were reversed, I’d have graciously accepted the Jewish lady’s gift. We’re she of good cheer, I would have made a quip about looking forward to tomorrow’s gift, and the next day, and the next day.
We have an office in the Philippines, and all three of the major faith’s holidays are paid vacation days, so there’s a lot of that kind of understanding, and at least acquiescence to the reality you are going to bump into someone of another faith in your gift giving.
I think Miss Walter’s face has been pulled to tight.

I've about had it.....if Christmas trees are called Holiday trees, then Menorah should not be allowed to be used...it should be a Holiday Candlebra.

What a dingbat. That is not the point. I guess you are one of those that go to work (sorry you seem like one of those sit on your butt eating bon bon type. Don’t want to insult you by thinking that you work). I think my post pointed out that I get to know who I work with. That way I don’t look like an idiot like the poster I was answering, and not you, by giving a Christmas Card to someone who does not celebrate the day. Don't ask why any President sends a card to low-class riff-raff like Walters, or any other snake. The reason is that over 1.4 million cards are sent out each year.
Presidents cannot possibly know who's on the list which is handled by RNC administration aides and bureaucratic experts in this sort of mass mailing thing.
To be sure, all media of importance is automatically on the list. I'm sure that countless Jewish media folk are on the list, but this petulant shrew is probably the first one to complain about it.
If Hillary is the next President-ette, it'll be interesting to see what kind of Christmas card she and the First Lady, Bill, will send out.
In fact, doubly-interesting because Her Heinous stated a couple years back that she's part Jewish.
Would Walters have another hissy-fit if President Hillary sends her any kind of card at Christmas?
Just speculating......and marveling at how geniuses like Barbara can paint themselves into corners when they are blinded by Bush-hatred........which is the case here, not her "devout Jewishness".

I always thought Barbara Walters was an idiot, and her words on this subject confirm my suspicions.
She is just confirming what so many of us feel; that there IS a war on Christmas. What kind of idiot could complain about a Bible verse on a Christmas card. I still can’t believe this woman!
She has appeared on O’Reilly’s program several times, and of course he is one person who has spoken out on people taking “Christ” out of Christmas. I wonder if he has the courage to confront her on this, or at least name her “pinhead” of the day.
