It was white California who voted for a generous public sector, including primo pensions for the government employees. Calipornians made their bed a long time ago. Let them lie in it or move.

My wife and me have our mothers here in town that we need to care for. If not for them we’d be outta here. I’ve been a resident for 50 years, but it’s getting time to change.

I can’t wait to hear what McClintock has to say! It’ll be priceless

I got a email from McClintock months ago warning us that this was going to happen. He also warned Rnold and the legislature while they were trying to pass the budget, but did they listen?....NO!

You posted a good link. I am going to quote from a part of it:

Dec 2004- (FAIR) examines the costs of education, health care and incarceration of illegal aliens, and concludes that the costs to Californians is $10.5 billion per year.snip

"California's addiction to 'cheap' illegal alien labor is bankrupting the state and posing enormous burdens on the state's shrinking middle class tax base," stated Dan Stein, President of FAIR.

Tom McClintock should be the Governor of California instead!

he’ll never declare an illegal alien emergency.

Finally. Someone who's paying attention.

Without exception, all of California's financial woes can be traced to the consequences of unregulated immigration since WWII.

Simply put, if one were able to remove the lower quartile of earners in California, the demand for services and infrastructure would be lowered by about 65% and the crisis would be over.

School teachers would be looking for gainful employment, displaced prison guards wouldn't find work in private security, properties would appear unkept, sweat shops in LA would become old stories, teenagers would have after school and weekend jobs and the state's annual budget would be less than $70B.

Send illegal aliens home and CA would have an instant surplus as well as a flood of citizens who previously fled the state returning with money, skills and resources.

“Bankrupt ...No longer a State? ...Anyone have anymore info on this?”

Yes, we would surrender the land to Mexico. Then evacuate all Americans, a large minority.

This is already happening voluntarily. We have an unprincipled Vacuous Ego on steroids married to a communist Kennedy running the state. We did this to bankrupt and destroy the Mexican territory before we vacate it.

To destroy it, we tax the hell out of anything that moves, and give that tax money to anything that refuses to work. Simple, but very effective.

Any one who speaks English and has brains or money will vacate.

When my mother passed, my wife and I moved almost immediately. That light you see at the end of the tunnel in California is a freight train speeding directly at you. The only thing you can do is get out of the way.

California needs to go bust.

Jersey and a few others are emulating California, and they need to see cold truth of what a socialist communist government will do to their state.

Its so ironic that Reagan was governor there.

I would assume that a significant decline in property values, thus a decline in property values, would make matters even worse?

I live in Washington, but do travel to Cali a fair amount. I”m always amazed at the waste when I’m down there. For example, a solar powered emergency telephone on hwy light poles,.....every qtr mile? Govt and waste expense down there, seems a really big problem??

Once California is half illegal aliens, can we begin to reduce their College electoral votes?

Why should a half Mexican state have any votes? What is the tipping point? Do we take a star off the flag when half of California is occupied by illegal aliens?

I guess the day when they elect a governor who can’t speak English, we will have to answer that question.

When everyone pushes the cart it's easy.

California has too many illegals and worthless individuals that jumped into the cart.

I don’t understand how this could happen...Socialism and collectivism has worked everywhere else it has been tried.

What did Kalifornia do wrong?
