LAS VEGAS - Six junior high or high school students were shot Tuesday after they got off a school bus, and two were critically hurt, police said.

Gunshots rang out in northeast Las Vegas just before 2 p.m., Officer Bill Cassell said.

Six young people were transported to area hospitals. Four had minor gunshot injuries and two were in critical condition, Cassell said.

At least two people are believed to have taken part in the shootings, he said. Police were not saying whether the shooting suspects were on foot or in a vehicle.

The shooting occurred less than a mile from two elementary schools, Woolley and Clyde Cox Elementary Schools. A Clark County School District official said the schools were not closed.

Good point.

We shall see how many such ‘eruptions’ we have.

If it goes over 5 . . . I’ll agree more wholesale.

I suspect you MAY be right anyway . . . but we shall see.

Evidently the TECHNOLOGIES exist to easily identify and wind someone up and even to send them off specifically on specific such deeds . . . even from somewhat of a distance.

Incredible stuff only hinted at in usually obscure documents.

Who knows what’s true. But so many diverse sources make some increidble claims about mind control experiments . . . must be some fire behind the smoke.

Sorry for the sarcasm, but rationalizations are not going to cut it. The public school system is controlled by liberal relativists intent on destroying every last moral absolute.

They are controlled by Marxists who are single minded in their goal to destroy the freedom made possible by Western Civilization. To help them they have armies of Lenin's Useful Idiots.

We are in a philosophical civil war and freedom will not win unless we start calling the enemy what it really is: Marxism.

All this teacher-as-hero propaganda aside, if public school teachers really thought there was something wrong with the system, they would change it. The truth is, the ones that think there’s a problem go along with the program anyway because of.. well, some rationalization or another.

Yes! If teachers wanted to change it they would. Citizens can not be a member of the NEA only teachers can be. Citizens can not call a strike for rational teaching practices, only they can. If teachers can strong arm a school board for higher salaries, they could do the same for reading and math programs that work, and sound discipline practices. They don't though.

point of a teachers union to represent the teachers?

The point of all unions is to protect their members. Unfortunately, the students don't have a union to protect them.

There is really only one solution:

Shut done government schools, and start over with a completely private system. If enough parents "go on strike" ( by removing their children from the government schools), the above will happen.

What Las Vegas is in Nevada, but Las Vegas != Nevada.

Got that right. Las Vegas = East East LA.

Las Vegas is filled with more head cases than you can count.

Spot on again.

It was somewhat crude but effective in the late 50's and 60's. It has been 50 years now, technology and drugs have come a long way.

Probably don't even need to use folks that have been "in the hospital" anymore.

Can you elaborate from definite knowledge about any of the more likely technologies . . . preferred technologies?

or even from well researched knowledge.

Either in the thread or by FREEPMAIL?

The beaming stuff into brains by certain wavelengths stuff sounds really . . . horridly effective . . . depending.

The public school system is controlled by liberal relativists intent on destroying every last moral absolute.

Perhaps you could draw a flow chart for a local school system which shows where the liberal relativists are located.

It's probably comforting to people to paint public schools with a broad brush and assume they're all bad. It isn't the case. Local control is ultimate in public schools. There's a superintendent (locally) and principals (locally) and principals. If the superintendent is a liberal relativist with liberal relativist principals and teachers under them, then you have a point. Otherwise, you have no idea what you're talking about.

Why are parents sending children to a school that needs “school police”?

The same reason that people attend a church that has armed guards. It's a fact of life in America today, not just public schools. Cloistering yourself in your home doesn't change that reality. And it doesn't keep your kid "safe." It does keep you in control to some extent, which can be comforting.

It sounds like the way they were treated at the school had a big impact on their behavior.

And that applies to this case how? Oh, right, it doesn't. Now if the family that these gang-bangers belonged to were not socioeconomically disadavantaged or if the kid had a parent who valued education enough to scrimp and save for a private education, then maybe they would have been saved from the influences in the community. So, I think my statement still stands.

The end product is liberal relativist indoctrination. Not education. If you can’t see that, enjoy.

I was at Vegas sitting at a bar talking to a local social worker. She was going on and on about the huge amount of gang violence in the city. Talking about how of the strip it’s a hopeless war zone of punk kids.
Almost made me reconsider my next trip there.

You think private education is any better? Think again.

I know plenty of families who go for it and the stories I hear rival public schools.

Nobody said cloistering. Homeschooling is not cloistering.

And, yes, it would keep your kids safer, because they’re not confined in a gun free building that screams “target”. Not putting your kids in a situation where you know the chances are higher of physical harm coming to them IS keeping them safer. It’s not an illusion.

What's going on in this country?

If it bleeds, it leads..and Tragedy T.V. apparently sells.

Do you realize..someone gets shot every day in L.A. county.

Generally it's gang vs. gang shootings...

No need - the Strip remains surprisingly safe, and so are the nicer, upscale neighborhoods a few miles away. Las Vegas is no different than any other city in America these days: its lower and lower-middle class neighborhoods are overrun with feral humans and law enforcement isn't going to expend resources on areas that don't contribute much to the tax base.

Since I don’t keep news stories and articles, I shall live by your tag-line. I leave it to you to disprove.

I can state that my Niece was strongly advised to give her ADHD (read: unruly brat) son Ritalin or he would be kicked out of school.

How many 10-12YO school girls are being forced to take some kind of medicine even though it is against the parent’s values? Even, vaccinations are a push in my humble opinion.

The work of evil by human as well as satan & co. will continue, as it has until the end times arrive. the difference being that more and more of the 'minions' are in positions of power in media/politics/academia so we will see more as a percentage to fool more people into choosing the wrong side.

eventually [maybe that time is here] there will be an all out assault by evil, which will of course be met by a triumphal counter-attack that will cost many lives. doesnt really matter, I know today that I will fight against evil as God sees fit. He is the Master and will settle all this as He has planned...

If you are of the opinion that public schools have NEVER been a good solution, that's fine.

No Dianna, I don't think that.
As a matter of fact, I know differently.
Public Schools use to be an excellent learning institution, even in the big cities.

But, like it or not, that's all changed now and despite the countless number of reasons for the institution's demise it is a fact that they are what they are.

What to do about it? I don't have all the answers either but the present course is unacceptable.

Hm?...We have a few private “schools” like that too in my state. I think all states do. They are very expensive and exclusive military style camps for kids with drug problems.

heh..yeah.
THAT kind of private school I understand. I think they call them boot camps, like old time reform schools.

Text books and Federal mandates

include layers and intensities of anti-Constitutional, anti-Christian, globalist liberalism

quite apart from the School Board and/or Superintendent.

Add in the teachers colleges and universities—the influences are more than considerable.
