A man found dead on the South Side Sunday morning was fatally shot by a U.S. Border Patrol agent after he and three other armed intruders burst into the agent's house, an official said Monday. Christian Gomez, 20, and Mark A. Escobar Jr., 19, along with two other intruders burst into the home of an off-duty Border Patrol agent and his family about 4:50 a.m. Sunday, according to police.

Its happened before. A number of years ago druggies went after PB agents in Tucson. They attacked 4 homes.
They shot up house #1 and critically injured the agent and his wife.
At house #2, they shot up the house and fortunatly, only minor injures.
House #3 the agent was awake and ready -he killed one of the druggies and his house had minor damage, no injuries.
By the time the druggies got to house #4, WWIII was waiting. It took a while to sort out who was who (all bad guys DOA) then they started tracking down the boss that ordered the hits.
This was back in the day before PC got out of hand.
And since this proved your family would always be at a geater risk - I called the BP and canx my interview. It has only gotten worse over the last decade.
Are you a supporter of your husband shooting to kill when armed intruders burst into your house at 430AM?
Or are you going to politely ask them to leave?

Four intruders and only one dead?? This officer needs more range time!
This kind of home invasion is becoming quite common in border areas, as armed gangs branch out into new areas of crime. It would not be out-of-place for this to be a garden-variety break-in. Maybe the thugs just picked the wrong house.
Of course, every house should be the wrong house.
I’m confused... the agent’s marked vehicle was at home?
And four guys broke it?
And he shot them?
And they don’t consider that conspiracy?
