Let’s see...
Christ in his brief time on Earth selectively kicked ass on numerous occasions.
The Pope, through St. Peter, is Christ’s directly designated representative and guardian of The Church here on Earth.
So I’m going to go with Yes, it is permissable to recognize and celebrate a Papal butt walloping.

NOPE!
This is a great man!
A few weeks ago, the Pope also said the current music sung in catholic churches S*CKS! (My words, not his!)
I love my pope!

Blasphemy means an irreverent attitude towards God, not towards a human being. So criticism of the pope or Mohammed or Billy Graham cannot be considered blasphemy.

Catholics help me out here....is it blasphemous to say the Pope kicks ass?Not at all! I'm glad he made the comment that "it was vital that the international community based its policies on science rather than the dogma of the environmentalist movement." It shows that he, like many others, understands that these folks look to environmentalism like some new Druid, earth worship religion.

Nah, the Pope will ask you to say three Our Father’s and three Hail Mary’s and then forgive you (after your promising to substitute the “a” word henceforth). :-)
