The next time some liberal talking head starts in on conservatives not being able to deal with a “strong woman” refer them to this thread.
Unfortunately the South Dakotans get to claim her.
I've read a number of threads on this subject in the past couple days, and have yet to see anyone remark on this. The pastor needs a body guard? Not in any church I've ever attended or visited.
Now, I realize this is one of those 'mega' churches we hear about. But what makes them any different? Why would this pastor feel compelled to have protection?
Can you imagine how many sermons next week will PLEAD LOUDLY, that parishoneers NOT carry guns into church?
I sense she has had a hard life, or at the very least she is going through a period of examining her life, as she said she was fasting and asking God what she should do with her life. She seems great, I kind of hope the spotlight leaves her and that she finds true happiness in her spiritual search.
They got home safe. The children did not. I guess that isn't important.
I would be greatly interested to hear some of the internet “chatter” Islam is saying about this turn of events.
A Volunteer Security Guard, kind of like the first Patriots of America.
“Would a married man with young children and a loving wife been able or willing to risk his own life by challenging a person with superior firepower?”
Men and women are doing this everyday and night somewhere to give us our freedoms. For this we should be thankful.
This is one of those instances that God used for good:
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
She looks like a real woman. (Not the wimpy whiny lib women we’re used to.)
And I like her shirt. :D
“It just crossed my mind that maybe because of any reasons because of the fact she was single she had more courage to walk into the face of death?”
God does not choose the equipped, God equips the chosen.
Amen to that statement! Could it be that the Holy Spirit jammed the handgun the murderer was using, or was that just coincidence? He fired three rounds at her and missed; she emptied her handgun in his direction. I saw a report on another thread that the person who retrieved his handgun reported that it was jammed.
Typo..sorry.
All “mega” churches in my area have some sort of security in place, just because the crowds are so big (and the odds of incident are higher).
We have an off duty local cop that hangs around in uniform.
After all, it's a simple, straightforward case of the principles, traits, history, and traditions that made, and KEEP America FREE...
GOD, GUNS, and GUTS.
What’s that mean? Do you have a reference?
Wasn't there an unarmed man distracting the shooter as she fired? a little credit his way perhaps? She was primarily responsible for preventing a massacre and huge cudos heaped upon her.
My husband likes short hair, generally. I sacrificed - after the wedding - and chopped off my hair because he seems conditioned by all the women in his family to like short. But, while he “likes it” with me, I think he sees the folly of his ways in how my hair behaves. After the baby, I intend to start growing it again.
