Waxman says Bush censored climate experts
The Politico ^ | Dec 10, 2007 | Patrick O'Connor

Hours after Al Gore accepted the Nobel Peace prize for his work raising awareness about climate change, House Democrats accused the man who beat him in 2000 of manipulating government data to downplay the effects and impact of global warming.

Democrats on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee released a report Monday detailing the Bush administration's efforts "to manipulate climate change science and mislead policymakers and the public about the dangers of global warming."

In the report, committee Democrats argue that the White House monitored media interviews with federal scientists and edited congressional testimony "that could conflict with administration policies." The report also details instances in which administration officials made significant edits to federal reports on climate change.

"Waxman’s a loon."

I don't know what the hell Waxman is spouting off about. I haven't heard anything BUT pro-global warming statements from government "experts".

Republicans on the committee vehemently opposed the findings, arguing "Democrats were interested only in presenting distorted information that supported their preconceived conclusions." Members of the minority have produced their own 28-page report to make the case that Democrats were the ones making selective edits about the testimony they chose to include in their findings.

It is not conservatives who have difficulty with looking at facts and reality. We had better hold them off at the pass on this one.

This is an ABSOLUTE lie! What utter nonsense coming out from Democrats. Their lack of shame is beyond belief! How stupid do they think we are?

Bush should have demanded the revocation of credentials of scientists who don’t agree with his ideas. Then he would have been in line with the global warming advocates’ policies, specifically Heidi Cullen.

From everything that I have been able to get my hands on, it appears to me that the only ones manipulating the data,
are the U.N. and Algore.

WAXMAN should be taken to Madame Toussalds and put on exhibit. I think Rove set up the 3006 Election so We will win by a Landslide in 2008. You couldn’t make up this kind of Camel Dung, if you were brillant.
