Teenaged congressional pages performed oral sex in front of their colleagues for weeks before they were caught and expelled from the program, according to a new report in Roll Call newspaper.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., has pledged to reform the page program, which brings dozens of 15- and 16-year-old students to live and study in Washington, D.C., while working as aides in congressional offices.
"As a mother and a grandmother, nothing is more important to me than the safety and security of our House pages," Pelosi said in a statement.
The page program has been reportedly reformed at least once already in the past year, after former Rep. Mark Foley, R-Fla., was exposed for sending inappropriate and suggestive e-mails and instant messages to teenaged former pages.
Two Republican lawmakers resigned their seats on the page program's oversight board last week to protest what they said was a failure to inform them of misbehavior in the program which was leading to expulsions.
In addition to the two pages reportedly expelled for their oral sex performances, two other pages were reportedly expelled for shoplifting from stores at Washington, D.C.-area shopping malls. One was reportedly charged with a felony.
Sorry Nancy, this happened on YOUR watch. Y'all used the Foley incident to win the '06 election and it worked. But you obviously didn't fix the problem - yet another thing you failed to do in perhaps the WORST CONGRESS EVER. Ah, but you are counting on your media buddies to give you cover. Don’t Congressional pages aspire to be in politics someday ?
My opinion of Congress is that these pages will fit right in someday. Perverted sexual misconduct and petty crimes are typical of Congresscritters. Take a look at the criminal pasts of some of them and you’ll wonder how they ever had the guts to run for public office.

So, why don’t we know who these pages were working for? We do know that Maria Cantwell’s chief of staff got in trouble for sex with a minor the same week, but we don’t know if it had anything to do with the pages.

One can’t help but wonder if this was a same sex couple? If it was, then was it two males or two females?
Good grief! I have four girls. None of them do or have ever done anything like that and they wouldn’t be having sex in front of anyone. They are just nice young women.

I noticed that too, but given the MSM's love for homosexuals and democrats, the labeling practice is most likely followed here...as in, no label at all.
First question needs to be if Barney Frank was involved.

It’s sad that so many young people are messed up like they are. I blame the liberals and lefties and all their failed ideas. I have a feeling it’s just going to get worse. Very happy to hear your daughters have been raised right.
