Yikes! That says the gunman was already INSIDE the church’s foyer when he started shooting. And the nursery school was just letting out nearby!
God bless that sharpshooting woman, whoever she is! She saved untold numbers of lives today.

FR is the place to be when seeking the true facts about the items in the news - thanks for your report.
I read an AP account, a Reuters account, and a local Col Springs TV account - but none of them said anything about the perp planting bombs around or throwing objects out of the car up against buildings.
And none of those accounts identified the security guard as either “female” or a “volunteer”. They did say that the New Life church had “beefed up security” after the news of the earlier shooting. Thank GOD for this female volunteer security guard and that she was well trained and a deadly shot!
All the reports say the police will say the shootings are “probably related” but nothing more.
Will be glad to find out if they were done by the same perp and more about the bombs or whatever items were put up against the buildings.
IF we will ever hear the truth about those facts.

I thought at New Life Church, the gunman was shooting from the parking lot, outside of the church - but I could be wrong.

"Arvada Police Chief Don Wick said the suspect spent several minutes speaking with people inside the dorm.
Peter Warren, director of Youth With a Mission Denver, said the man asked whether he could spend the night.
When told he couldn't stay, the man opened fire, then left on foot, Warren said.
Warren said he didn't know whether any of the students or staff knew the gunman.
"We don't know why" he came to the dormitory, Warren said.
Witnesses told police that the gunman was a 20-year-old white male, wearing a dark jacket and skull cap, who left on foot.
He may have glasses or a beard.
Police with dogs searched the area through the night, and residents of nearby homes were notified by reverse 911 to be on the lookout.
Medina said residents were asked to look out their windows for any tracks left in the snow during the night.
About 4 inches of snow had fallen in the area in the past day."

Focus on the Family in headquartered in Colorado Springs too. If you take a tour their they will show you the bullet hole in their wall where this very type of act happened ten years ago or so.
I’ll bet the every since the Focus invasion all the ministries have staff that are armed, just in case.
News stories say this armed woman, was a volunteer. That must make for interesting insurance and liability issues.

COLORADO SPRINGS — David Lee walked from New Life Church after services Sunday and thought the popping sounds he heard were caused by a backfiring car.
Then he saw a figure dressed in black walking slowly and methodically outside of the church with a large rifle in his hands, firing one shot after another.
“He was just walking and shooting,” said Lee, 23, who plays piano at the church.
Lee took a close look at the person to see if he could recognize who it was. He didn’t.
He did noticed that the shooter’s pockets were bulging with what looked like shotgun shells and that the gunman looked to be wearing something like bullet-proof vest.
Lee ran.
The gunman shot five people, killing one. A New Life security team member fired back and killed the gunman, who police have yet to identify.
Late Sunday, police were using a robot to determine whether the man had a bomb strapped to his body.......

God bless that security guard. Do you think the MSM will keep her out of the limelight? Don’t answer——of course they will. She is a true HEROINE. I want to know more about her!

That article says a witness saw bulging pockets on the shooter that may have been filled with shotgun shells. That would explain the pellet wound that the associate pastor had in an interview I saw earlier.
Description of perp being white, around 20, and skinny, wearing black. Sounds very similar to the mission school shooter.

Wow. I can’t believe a couple of the comments on that site, attached to that article you linked to. It just makes the whole thing even more sad, and it makes me realize there really is a big spiritual battle going on.
