Springs gunman fires on parishioners

COLORADO SPRINGS — David Lee walked from New Life Church after services Sunday and thought the popping sounds he heard were caused by a backfiring car.
Then he saw a figure dressed in black walking slowly and methodically outside of the church with a large rifle in his hands, firing one shot after another.
“He was just walking and shooting,” said Lee, 23, who plays piano at the church.
Lee took a close look at the person to see if he could recognize who it was. He didn’t.
He did noticed that the shooter’s pockets were bulging with what looked like shotgun shells and that the gunman looked to be wearing something like bullet-proof vest.
Lee ran.
The gunman shot five people, killing one. A New Life security team member fired back and killed the gunman, who police have yet to identify.
Late Sunday, police were using a robot to determine whether the man had a bomb strapped to his body.......

“Pockets bulging”...he had plenty of ammo and was planning to kill many, many innocent people.
The long black coat is Columbinish. The Feds better get after the websites promoting this behavior.
UGH... So many conflicting stories... I wonder if he began shooting outside and then entered??? That seems to be the most likely scenario seeing that reports are his body is still inside the church??? Very frustrating at this point trying to get the “facts”.
While the assailant's identity had not yet been confirmed, police said they were already seeking search warrants for his vehicle and home for evidence that might explain the attack.
That means they know who he was.
