Obviously, different nations are going to have mostly different national holidays.
In my opinion, our best holidays are the ones that try to bring people in America together to celebrate a shared heritage; the things we have in common. My biggest problem with "Kwanzaa" is that it was created solely for the purpose of trying to divide people; specifically to try and divide blacks from the rest of America.
The ironic thing is that the majority of the celebrants of Cinco De Mayo in the US do not know this.
Many just celebrate it as an excuse to party.
On the first day of Kwanzaa Karenga gave to me
A Marxist in a red tree.
On the second day of Kwanzaa Karenga gave to me
Two Jaily birds,
And a Marxist in a red tree.
On the third day of Kwanzaa Karenga gave to me
Three Dixie Chicks.
Two Jaily birds,
And a Marxist in a red tree.
On the fourth day of Kwanzaa Karenga gave to me
Four Lenin busts.
Three Dixie Chicks,
Two Jaily birds,
And a Marxist in a red tree.
On the fifth day of Kwanzaa Karenga gave to me
Five fel-on-ies.
Four Lenin busts,
Three Dixie Chicks,
Two Jaily birds,
And a Marxist in a red tree.
On the sixth day of Kwanzaa Karenga gave to me
Six Castro jumpsuits.
Five fel-on-ies,
Four Lenin busts,
Three Dixie Chicks,
Two Jaily birds,
And a Marxist in a red tree.
On the seventh day of Kwanzaa Karenga gave to me
Seven Mao pajamas,
Six Castro jumpsuits,
Five fel-on-ies,
Four Lenin busts
Three Dixie Chicks,
Two Jaily birds,
And a Marxist in a red tree.
"Tard" refers to the ping list members and not to the subject of the thread!
List of Ping Lists
That's little Kwanzaa Fett on the right.
There is nothing interesting about Kwanzaa.
Here we have foolishness like Andrew Young and others suggesting some blacks aren't black enough.
In South Africa, people don't feel the need to advertise their blackness, I guess. Here, identity politics is crucial to liberal power. If they gave up that game here, people might look into history and see that most black Americans were Republicans for the longest time, because they were voting as PEOPLE, and AMERICANS, and not some ethnic bloc.
