The Talk Shows
Sunday, December 9th, 2007
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Former Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark., and Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Sens. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., and Chuck Hagel, R-Neb.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del.; actor John Cusack.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf; Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.; Rep. John Boehner, R-Ohio.
Timmy trying to prove that Rudy doesn’t care about terrorism because he resigned from the 9/11 panel.
Rudy says this was obviously going to be politicized and I was seriously planning to run for president. It would have damaged my credibility and the credibility of the panel and its conclusions.
Rudy’s business had ties with Qatar. Qatar tipped off KSM when we were coming to arrest him. KSM helped plan the 9/11 attacks, therefore Rudy is responsible for 9/11 for doing business with Qatar (which is a US ally, btw).
Timmy’s performance is really weak and his agenda is obvious.
Hi, Johnnie
Its worth it to see FNS, to see Huckabee come out against torture. And John McCain proving once again he is at best a doomass.
He is talking about the destruction of interogation tapes and gets into the joy of an upcoming investigation.
There is something about that man that simply cannot be trusted.
And Huckabee's assertion that they get to the "back of the line" is nonsense. He doesn't understand how the immigration process works or that there are millions of intending immigrants who have processed all the paperwork and are waiting for their number to come up because of the number caps on various immigrant categories. We take in 1.2 million people a year now. Adding 13 to 20 million more illegal aliens to the immigration pipeline would require a huge increase in the bureaucracy just to process them. These people need background checks [in the US and their home country], physicals, etc.
Timmy isn't very big a picking up hints, is he?
Three more. Force the various agencies to share information, such as Social Security and the IRS with law enforcement, speed up the back log of people waiting to come to this country and start checking those temporary visas closer.
Why thank you...I’m so honored and speechless! (blushing)
Like I said, it’s Bills-Dolphins week... Timmy’s probably off his game.
But that whole Rudy-Qatar thing isn’t just being peddled by Timmy. Joseph Farah buys into it too. Of course, Farah’s nothing short of batty.
Probably correct, but they haven't any pictures so it'll soon become a non-issue. Nor do I see the "what did he know, and when did he know it" meme having any legs, although Dems will try that angle of attack. And they'll do that despite the fact that America thinks this Congress is spending too much time on frivilous investigations.
This is another rope-a-dope for Dems, as they dig themselves further into a hole. Bottom line, no one except moveon'ers give a rats ass about how proper our interrogation techniques are or are not. Go Dems!
That will maybe leave an opening for FRed?
I understand he’s gonna be living in Iowa between now and the caucus except for Christmas day.
The fat lady ain’t sung yet :)
I would do number 7 first. No jobs, no illegals, for the most part. Most would leave. The minority that stayed could be more easily found.
In Georgia they passed a very tough law taking on employers who hire illegals. Guess what? Massive illegal migration OUT of Georgia into Tennessee, North/South Carolina and my home state of Alabama. My state needs to mimic Georgia.
Tough employer penalties work.
I am afraid the Republican Establishment is going to pay a high price in 2008 for taking the Value Voters for granted over the years.
Going to be intresting to see if the Pro Lifers or the Limited Govt Conservative win this fight. Both sides are convinced the party "has betrayed them" and neither side is the least bit intrested in compromising with the other side. In addition both sides are convinced "they are the base of the party".
I don't even bother to read him.
Timmy is now trying to prove that Rudy's company is down with Hugo Chavez. This is utterly ridiculous.
Ha! And I thought I was being an extremist nativist... I know Tancredo has a similar platform as well.
Speaking of which, did anybody catch Howard Dean’s comments this week about how our anti-immigration push was racist and how it’s the same as when the Irish and the eastern Europeans were ostricized in the 1900s?
Well, Howie, we didn’t have welfare back then, either.
Morgan, so did Clinton. In fact, during the 1992 campaign he even flew home to Little Rock to ensure a retarded man on death row got fried.
It’s all about the power. Seems men from Hope would walk across their grandmothers to get it.
Well I never how will they get out of this probably by ignoring it.
I would say that the vast majority of Conservatives are in favor of tough tactics when questioning these Al Quida types.
