Rudy ducks questions on Judi's car use (taxpayers fund Giuliani's extramarital ins and outs)
NY Daily News ^ | Sat, Dec 8th 2007 | DAVID SALTONSTALL,, DAILY NEWS SR CORRESPONDENT

Posted on 12/08/2007 10:26:33 AM PST by Liz

Giuliani tried to ride out new questions over taxpayer-funded chauffeur police services witnesses said were provided to Judith Nathan well before the married mayor revealed his extramarital involvement in 2000..... asked about Nathan's city-funded wheels, Giuliani non-answered "Thank you," and "Have a good night."

Nathan's police escorts were thought to have begun in December 2000, after Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik said she was threatened and needed around-the-clock protection. (Giuliani hid security detail and travel expenses for Nathan in obscure city agencies.) "If Nathan was provided police protection prior to their being a security-threat assessment, it probably was an illegal use of city resources," said Dick Dadey of Citizens Union.

Rootybots pose for a group picture.

The braindead botniks see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.

The botniks believe ALL city budgets have provisions to underwrite the Mayor satisfying his sexual urges with a bimbo.

If you are going to cheat, the number of stupid, foolish or dangerous things you wind up doing is almost literally without end.

Not a pretty picture for taxpayers to contemplate.

Rudy cutting the mustard with his girlfriend while the NYPD looked on…….....maybe they even helped lick the jar as an extra perk.

Jooty had seven cops assigned to her——some of them walked her dog and others drive her friends around EVEN WHEN SHE WAS NOT in the car.

Any services to her that would not be provided to an ordinary citizen who was threatened would be an unlawfull, or at the very least, an unethical use of public funds. To further bury the costs in inappropriate budget line items compounds the offense.

And that’s one of the many reasons that I will not vote for Rudy. Do not trust the man!!

Giuliani hiding the expenses to pork his mistress is an outright admission of guilt-—evidence that laws were broken.

Bottom line is an elected offical cannot obtain a personal benefit from his public office.

Giulini thinks he’s above all that.

In his feeble RINO mind——”9/11 changed everything.”

No Rudy fan, but I see the Clinton smear machine is alive, well, and in full force.

It’s just more of the elitist ruling class crap we have to take because we lost the will to stop it. Drivers, bodyguards, etc. for the girlfriend but citizens of NYC are denied any effective means of even defending themselves. But, hell, government has all the power and unless and until we become willing to make whatever sacrifice necessary to take it back, it will remain the same.

Taxpayers should find out what else these two parasites---Judy and Rudy---extorted from the public treasury.

Keep in mind Judy and Rudy were running "Twin Towers Fund" Rudy's special little "tax-exempt charity" Giuliani appointed his then-mistress, Judith Nathan to the Board of Directors.

In February, 2002, Giuliani insisted upon transferring guardianship of the $100 million remaining in the city-run Twin Towers Fund to a private charity he controlled. The families of the police and fire rescuers who died in the attack balked at Giuliani's plan to take up to a year to dole out the money, with his new organization billing $2.2 million in anticipated administrative expenses (including six-figure salaries for friends he appointed as officers).

The families argued that the fire union had far more quickly distributed $111 million with an estimated administrative cost of just $30,000. Under embarrassing pressure from the victims' families Giuliani backed down. He promised to distribute the money within 60 days and fund his overhead from new donations.

The families of the deceased rescuers, the real heroes of the September 11 attacks, received a one-time benefit of about $230,000 each from the Giuliani-privatized fund in 2002.

That year, the former mayor earned some $8 million in speaking fees alone, more than $650,000 per month. He is said to bring in $1 million per month today, and is worth some $60 million from his global business connections.

Giuliani also appointed Arnold Schwarzenegger to the Twin Towers board---Rudy and Arnold used tax-exempt Twin Towers funds to help launch Arnie's profit-making movie, "Collateral Damage," with Rudy and his entourage joining in on the gala event.

Damn! He's been taking lessons from The Hildabeaste again.

As far as I'm concerned, any politician that does not face stuff like this head on and take responsibility and give us the straight poop does not deserve to be a candidate.

…………any politician that does not face stuff like this head on and take responsibility does not deserve to be a candidate……………

The dividing line here is that Giuliani presents himself as "Trust-Me-I'm-Mr-Perfect-I-Can-Do-No-Wrong."

When stuff like this is revealed, it is all the more damaging to his candidacy.

There’s not a politician alive who hasn’t used public money for private purposes. I wasn’t planning on voting for Rudy in the primary anyhow. But I’m not going to play some self-righteous holier-than-thou game here because no matter who the nominee is some sort of dirt is going to be found and slung. I don’t ever drink the “my candidate is blemish free” kool-aid.

At least Rudy didn’t use cops to murder people who got in his way unlike a certain couple from Arkansas I could mention. No matter who the pubbie is eventually he will get my vote.

Wish they would do some investigation before reporting. It would be good if we had facts instead of ifs.
