David Huckabee, 26, the son of former Gov. Mike Huckabee, was arrested early Thursday morning for allegedly attempting to board an airplane with a handgun at Little Rock National Airport.

After being released from the Pulaski County Jail, Huckabee called the incident "a silly mistake" and said "it shouldn't" affect his father's presidential campaign.

According to the police report, the gun was a Glock and had a clip in it. Huckabee was asked if he knew what was in the bag, and “he replied he did now.” The report says he told authorities that he forgot the gun was in the bag.

Huckabee was arrested for carrying a weapon in a prohibited place at about 6 a.m.

How about a source if you’re going to post such stuff about someone - on the WWW - no backup source and you are scum, and that will be backed up if you can’t give a legitimate source

I don't like Huck, either, but this is not relevant to Huck's being suitable for the presidency. I am sorry for the Huckabee family having to deal with this.

Doesn't this have an April date?

Here's a link from 2002, coughed up by the Wayback Machine (the page is still up — I was just curious if it was a recent creation, if you know what I mean):

DU's eating it up. Hoping we're dumb enough to nominate him. So-cons be advised: a vote for Huck is a vote for "Rootie Julie Annie".

Listen here, hot-head. You have your nerve calling me "scum"..

If you weren't so ignorant I would provide a hundred links to a story you can google up yourself on the internet..

So do your own homework, and clean out your potty mouth while you're at it.

Huckabee's son David, and another boy were FIRED from their jobs for torturing, hanging and shooting a stray dog. I recall David's sorry excuse "the dog was sick".

It was never Officially investigated..

Deal with the truth. Happy googling.

Calling someone Bloomberg with a Theology degree is a far more severe slam than laughing about his fat son’s foibles.

Bloomberg with a theology degree? LOL! That's a nice one, pissant.

We don't need any more nannies, thank you very much.

BOY SCOUTS KILL DOG! Animal Cruelity hotline

ACTION NEEDED: DEMAND INVESTIGATION

(Miller County, Arkansas) Two boy scout counselors, 17 year old Clayton Frady and 18 year old David litickabee, the son of Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, have admitted to catching a stray dog during their summer session at Camp Pioneer in Hatfield, AR, and hanging the dog by his neck, slitting his throat and stoning him to death.

Camp officials, who did not report the crime to law enforcement officials, have admitted that the act did occur and have fired the boys from their positions. However, no charges have been filed against the young men.

Arkansas State Police conducted a perfunctory investigation, but did not attempt to locate witnesses to the crime.

Forgot he had a gun in his carry-on luggage.
Forgot...he had a gun...in his carry-on luggage.
Sorry, I cannot believe that. It is remotely possible, like if you say you had a cat with 28 toes, or that you were once babysitted by Marilyn Monroe. It’s possible. But much more likely you’re on mind-altering drugs, or just fibbing.

I haven’t changed my mind about voting for DH. I’m just curious why so many freepers seem afraid of this man. Going after his weight and his son....

How does one packing for trip, forget that they put a gun in their luggage? Of course they don’t. He more than likely lied.

Not afraid. Just disgusted. The gun doesn’t bother me so much (although it might if I were on the same plane), but the animal cruelty.....

I can’t take that.

Because, despite being Bloomberg with a theology degree, he's been rising in the polls. And that scares conservatives who are worried about the growth of government. Being a religious person and all that is fine, but not if he's a nanny-stater.

I don't think he'll be nominated, but he may succeed in derailing Romney's game plan, making a Giuliani nomination more likely. I'll vote for any of the three in the general, but I'd sure prefer the candidate not be Huckabee.
