MIAMI, Florida (CNN) -- A grand jury Tuesday indicted four suspects on charges of first degree felony murder and armed burglary in the slaying of Washington Redskins star Sean Taylor.

The three adult suspects -- Venjah K. Hunte, 20, Jason Scott Mitchell, 19, and Charles Kendrick Lee Wardlow, 18 -- appeared in court Tuesday via videoconference wearing thick green vests, which defense attorneys said were suicide safety smocks.

The fourth suspect -- Eric Rivera Jr., 17 -- remained in custody in Fort Myers, Florida.

His attorney, Wilbur Smith, told CNN he expected his client to be moved to a Miami-Dade juvenile detention facility Wednesday.

Rivera was armed during the alleged burglary, and "during the course of the commission of the offense ... discharged a firearm and as a result of the discharge, death or great bodily harm was inflicted upon Sean Maurice Taylor, a human being," the indictment says.

It wasn’t the minor’s fault. He was too young to know what he was doing. Rev. Al told me so.

Taylor is a victim of stupid gun laws; there is no possible justification for government preventing a person from defending himself in his own home or from having to try to defend himself with 5’th century technology against criminals using 20’th and 21’th century technology.

What I didn’t understand is that if he couldn’t have a gun, why couldn’t the girlfriend have one? She wasn’t on probation or anything. Surely the court can’t bar everyone in a particular home from owning a gun.

As I read it the ban had expired around April but Taylor was likely caught up in the schedule of his football career and hadn’t gotten around to buying another pistol. He’s still a victim of gun laws. If somebody is too dangerous to possess weapons, he’s too dangerous not to be lockedup. We’ve created 2’nd and 3’rd class citizenship categories.

IIRC, G. Gordon Liddy addressed this. He stated that as a convicted felon he could never own a gun.

His wife, however . . . .

"Surely the court can’t bar everyone in a particular home from owning a gun."

DO NOT try to put that theory in practice. Having litigated this many times, trust me, the Feds won't hesitate to pop a felon for having a gun in his home. They leave questions like whose gun it was to the Judge and prosecutor. Seen it many times.

You gotta keep'em separated
Hey, they don't pay no mind
If you're under 18 you won't be doing any time
Hey, come out and play

By the time you hear the siren
It's already too late
One goes to the morgue and the other jail
One guy's wasted and the other's a waste
It goes down the same as the thousand before
No one's getting smarter
No one's learning the score
Your never ending spree of death and violence and hate
Is gonna tie your own rope
Tie your own rope
Tie your own

How very convenient that the shooter was a minor.

“How very convenient that the shooter was a minor.”

My thoughts exactly. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

“As I read it the ban had expired around April”

I must have missed something. Was there a legal reason why he was unable to own a firearm?
