DO NOT try to put that theory in practice. Having litigated this many times, trust me, the Feds won't hesitate to pop a felon for having a gun in his home. They leave questions like whose gun it was to the Judge and prosecutor. Seen it many times.

Thank you for the information, but the situation hasn’t arisen in my home due to the absence of convicted felons.
