No. The concept of Christian forgiveness is that the individual who was harmed makes the decision to forgive; the state is obligated and has the responsibility to punish those who have committed offenses against innocent people and ensure that those individuals are kept away from society. For the state to release dangerous people into the community is a horrible failure of leadership and an abrogation of responsibility. Gov. Huckabee does not have the judgment to be president.
