Yeah, that ‘s what has come to MSM’s definition of “Presidential”. It ‘s utter shame how the cable channels (especially Fox) bored with this for such a long time. May be Hillary camp & CNN may have planted this incident to stop talking about their embarrassments.

“McCain can be trusted to make informed decisions” says the Manchester Union Leader.

McCain believes humans are causing “global warming.” How informed is THAT?

Bill Kristol just bet Nina that Obama will win in Iowa and New Hampshire, and said any one of the top 5 candidates can win the GOP nomination.

I don't know current official military policy, but I've heard that sometimes the best you can do is hold off telling anything at least long enough that what you spill will be of less help to the enemy and less hurt to your brothers in arms.

It also implies that the shelf life of useful information is short, so the sooner you can apply techniques to a captive, the more value the information will have. That speaks against waiting for a specific warrant on a specific individual, doesn't it?

Another thing about that situation, is the timing. Friday afternoon, about the time Rush is closing his radio program and that hits. Rush didn't have most of the details by the end of the show, so he couldn't comment much about it.

The weekend news cycle has one thing for the media to talk about - how great she was in face of adversity. Never mind that the dim plants will be forgotten by the DBM. There was ONE sentence on the bottom of page A-2, in the Austin paper about that little issue, but over half a page about hildebeast.

That’s a strong bet.

Iowa, Obama’s got a chance. He’s been advertising heavily there. New Hampshire, I’m not so sure yet.

Chris Wallace and FNS just made a gratuitous slap at Senator McCarthy. Today is the fiftieth anniversary of his censure. Good grief! THAT is worthy of news minutes?

Wallace said that he was censured for claiming that there were communists in our government and military, and the claims were found to be false.

I gag!

David Gregory picks up the line about how the “crisis” in her campaign gave her the chance to look presidential.

Good grief! Clinton shut down all of her campaign offices across the nation. It's the equivalent of closing every shopping mall in the U.S. when an incident occurs at the local shopping center in Podunk.

Pretty soon David Gregory and his ilk will start comparing Hillarys performance on her non-crisis with Rudys performance on 9/11. They will reach and spin any way they can to prop her up.

It makes me think, with the whole media response to this, that this was all a setup. Crazy loon with a few too many shots of Wild Irish Rose in his system takes a “hostage,” Hillary blames the vast right wing conspiracy and rides in on her white horse looking so “gallant” and “presidential” in handling the situation, while the media laps it all up. Spare me...

It also knocked the "Bubba babbling in Iowa" story right out of the news. Rush thought that was sabotage or just pathological. Funny how the talking point now is that Mrs. Clinton was presidential and competent.

RUSH:..."This election is shaping up to be, if you listen to the way Mrs. Clinton is running things and portraying herself -- and you don't even have to read between the lines on this -- she's running a competence election." The whole point -- the Democrat focus with the Drive-Bys -- for the past how many months and years has been that Bush is incompetent. Katrina, the fires out in California, whatever it is, Bush is incompetent. Mrs. Clinton is running around saying, "I'm competent. I'm experienced. I'm this." Obama is trying to do the same thing. Okay, so the Democrats are doing what? They're running a competence election. Do we want to play on that field? Do we want to let them set the premise? Do we want to run a competence election? No! We want to run an election based on the future of the country: what it's going to look like if they win; what it will look like if we win.

We want to run on the vision of the greatness of America and American exceptionalism. We want to run on an inspiring message, not a message of fear!

A Golden Opportunity for the GOP
