Billions for the Iraq war but nothing for choo choos.
Sure that would be easy enough. What you will not be able to prove is was the “injured” just standing close and “hurt” themselves getting away from the colliding trains.
That movie gave us a chuckle when it was released. It began with the train leaving Toronto and ended with it arriving in Toronto going the same direction- until then we never realized that there were rail lines that circumnavigated the globe.
:)Sounds good.
That means it’s probably the ST. Louis Run
Lincoln Service?
The Amtrak train, No. 371 from Grand Rapids, Mich

NOTE FROM 2005 - Two Dead, Dozens Injured, Some Critically, In South Side Accident
(AP) A commuter train derailed Saturday on Chicago's South Side, killing at least two people and injuring more than 80, some of them critically.
The double-decker Metra train was traveling from Joliet to Chicago when the locomotive and its five cars jumped the tracks about 5 miles south of downtown, authorities said.
An important task is keeping the boys in da ‘hood from robbing the dead and dying....
The air likely is full of medevac choppers at this time....
And the lawyers no doubt have descended on the scene, the receiving hospitals, and the neighboring bars, pool halls, and street corners....
NOTE FROM SEPT 2007: 12 Railroad Spikes Found Missing On South Side's Electric Line
CHICAGO (CBS) ― The FBI believes a case of sabatoge that could have caused a train derailment was averted by alert Metra workers, who discovered a dozen railroad spikes missing in an area on the city's South Side.
The spikes hold down metal plates that bind the rails to wooden ties.

Actually, he’s probably at AmTrak headquarters already and is shaking down the board of directors...
UPDATE:
The train collided with a freight train traveling on the same track, Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford said.
About 100 of the 150 passengers were “walking wounded,” he said, injured when the train came to a sudden stop. Medical personnel was examining them.
The Amtrak No. 371 train was coming from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Video showed the Amtrak train on top of one of the freight train’s cars.
mtrak spokesman Cliff Black said Amtrak did not yet know the severity of the accident. Amtrak officials from Midwest Operations were en route to the scene.
Black said the train is known as “The Pere Marquette” and is a daily train that travels from Grand Rapids to Chicago.
Why do they use the same tracks?
Geeze, sabotage found on S. Side tracks a couple of months back....wonder if that was the case here, or if that info would be released if it were the case.
My husband rode the commuter trains for 18 years. The afternoon commutes on all lines may be disrupted some, obviously the south line substantially.
Prayers for the victims.
Obviously they weren’t supposed to. They were traveling through a freight yard so speed should have been at slow yard limit unless they were on a faster bypass track. So the cause is one of four reasons — the engineer was speeding and could not stop in time, he ran a red signal, a signal malfunctioned, or the dispatcher routed him to a track already occupied. We will know soon enough as the modern engines have data recorders.
I went to CNN and found this
