Oh no! Prayers for all involved, possible victims and rescue teams!
praying it’s not as bad as it sounds
Bush’s fault for underfunding train safety apparatus.
I hope that the results are as positive as this terrific movie. Always had a crush on Jill Clayburg.

Serious injuries are reported in a crash on the city’s South Side involving an Amtrak train and a freight train.
The Amtrak trail struck the rear of the parked freight train around 11:32 a.m. at 48th Street and Shields Avenue, Fire Department spokeswoman Eve Rodriguez said.
Rodriguez said there are about 150 passengers on board and confirmed a report that a conductor is pinned inside.

Not to make light of any injuries but I did work with a railroad once.
Trust me there will be more injured people than the number of passengers on both trains.
Some were still sleeping when this was announced and as I type they are frantically trying to get to the crash sight and stake their injury claim.
I know what I speak of.
Too early, or has anyone reported a cause for this horrible event?
They’ll get there faster than the ambulances with trial attorneys in the driver’s seat.
should be easy enough to prove if someone was on a train or not
go to maps at google and type in Shields Ave. Chicago IL.
When you get to the map find 47th st.; big railroad
switching area west of I-90/I-94 (the Dan Ryan)
oops 48th
Okay, I am spooked. I had a very vivid dream last night about a train crash...so vivid I had trouble getting back to sleep!
they keep updating the CBS link:
Around noon, rescue crews were carrying out a person who was likely the conductor that was pinned in, Kris Habermehl reported from Chopper 2.
“So far nobody is being taken on stretcher. That’s a good sign,” Langford said. “It looks like everybody is walking.”
The engine of the Amtrak train was resting on top of the last car of the freight train. The Amtrak had three double-decker passenger cars, Langford said.
Firefighters carried several children from the accident.
