So does the U.K. as this is a teacher from there. I think that useless UN ought to step up & get the woman out of there before she is killed. IMHO any person who goes into these barbaric countries to try to help these animals is crazy. Unless you are armed with a gun & can understand the locals I wouldn’t even want to bother. Its sad that the help we try to give these people is twisted into any insult they want to imagine. And they want to kill us for it. I’m so done with Muslims in general. Where are the normal ones with any sense of common decency coming forward? Hmmm they won’t say a word because they want to keep their heads. I think its shameful they will take our aid yet not step up & be decent people. As for the teacher I would think that she would have been better trained & know what you are allowed to do & say in these barbaric places. I am surprised the children are even allowed teddy bears.

I can’t think of anything to say that wouldn’t involve a thousand pounder dropped in the middle of such a crowd, so thus I’ll have to choose to say nothing.

This is a wet dream for the leftists. They finally have the muscle they need to take down western civilization. They are already here in our universities and cities.

"No tolerance: Execution," and "Kill her, kill her by firing squad." Just heard this exact quote on a morning news show a little while ago.
What's not to love about Islam? Such a peaceful, fun loving religion.

Ping for your list, knighthawk. This is incredible. From the Fox News article -
Gibbons had one of her 7-year-old students bring in a teddy bear, then asked the class to name it and they chose the name Muhammad.
But this poor teacher sits in jail, convicted of inciting religious hatred, amid calls for her execution.
This should serve as a stark reminder that Sudan, despite its Christian minority, is one of the very worst places on earth to be a non-Muslim. This incident should also garner international outrage and expose the absurdity of Islam to the world, but it won't.

I feel really bad for this poor woman, who looks like your typical well-meaning soul who certainly doesn’t deserve a fate like this. The school (called Unity) was supposed to show that Muslims and Christians could get along, since it had students from both groups. The parents obviously were not upset, particularly since some of the parents of the children came forward to defend her.
But the overwhelming weight of the Islamic world is on the side of the loonies - who after all, really are the orthodox Muslims, while the moderates are not - and we have to admit that it is simply impossible to deal with them in any way other than to keep them afraid of us. Something we seem to be losing the ability to do, alas...

The Foreign Office issues a statement to the Sudanese government saying, "If anything happens to that woman today, tomorrow there is no Khartoum."From your lips to God's and their ears. In the meantime, this woman needs prayer. I have visions of a nasty mob breaking into a flimsy jail.

One correction: The “Goddess of Reason” cult was started by Robespierre, not Napoleon.
To: Brilliant
People have no concept of the ignorance and evil that lurks around this insane religion of Islam, not to mention how the religion itself perpetuates the extremes of both.
The "good intention" people that think you can bridge two religions which are diametrically opposed to one another is just ludicrous, and has to mean a person doesn't even understand the religion they follow to allow such contrivance.

This whole mob is a political construction, the population was “leafleted” to demonstrate, and this is the outcome.

Yes, my apologies, you’re right. Napoleon, however, had fantasies of starting a religion based on this. It makes such a handy vehicle for world domination. What’s a tyrant to do?

The mobs are mad dogs and should be treated as such. Liberals trying to do good going into these pits of darkness are treated no better than any other infidel, but they will never learn.

I feel bad for her too & pray she doesn’t get killed by the loonie Muslims. I didn’t know any parents came forward to defend her...That was decent of them. I hope they won't be targeted for it. This craziness with the radical Muslims has to stop. I hope & pray that the decent ones will finally take a stand & say enough. It must be hell to have to live over in these places & wonder if you make a wrong move they will want to behead you no matter what religion you are.

“Islam is not a religion. it is a violent political ideology based on a specific set of laws(Sharia) that foster a movement tantamount to Nazism. Americans need to wake up to that fact.”
Needed to be said again.
Excellent post.

Britain's response - applying diplomatic pressure while extolling ties with Sudan and affirming respect for Islam - had produced mixed results, British commentators concluded. In an editorial, The Daily Telegraph said Miliband "has tiptoed around the case, avoiding a threat to cut aid and asserting that respect for Islam runs deep in Britain.
Given that much of the government's financial support goes to the wretched refugees in Darfur and neighboring Chad, Mr. Miliband's caution is understandable."
Now, however, the newspaper said, Britain should recall its ambassador in Khartoum and impose sanctions on the Sudanese regime.
These people better shut up for at least a few weeks until she is our of that sewer, or they'll talk that lady into her grave. If they want to say something, say it in private to the "leaders" of the country -- something like,"she dies, so does Khartoum -- the next day."
And follow up if necessary.
