Candidates participating:
P.S., we are hiring a President, not a Pastor.
It’s not MY interpretation. It is straight from Scripture.
I’m not going to argue with you about what Scripture does and doesn’t say.
All I know is that when I made the decision to make Jesus the Lord of my life, my life DID change. I slowly did become a new creation in Christ. And that wasn’t me. That was all Him. My taste in music, reading materials, movies, TV shows all changed. I realized what it means to have the “peace tha passes all understanding”. And believe me, that was NOT my doing. I knew what Jesus meant when He said, “You must be born again.” It made perfect sense. And my relationship with Christ affects EVERY single area of my life. As it should.
But that does NOT mean that I am sold on Huckabee. I embrace him as a brother-in-Christ, but not necessarily as a candidate for president.
Anyway, have a good evening.
I think you misunderstood my post about Huckabee. I forgot my sarcasm tag.
Great points, all! Go Hunter!
I thought you would enjoy his "Buy American" comment in light of your recent thread. I'm ordering from some of the links that were found on your thread. Thanks!
Well you picked one of the Greatest Names ever. One of my favorites of all time.

Hi Justa....I missed the Buy America thread....was there a website listed? After what China did to our Navy, I’ve made a commitment to buy NOTHING made in China...even if it means I buy Nothing. We MUST begin buying American made products. These may cost a bit more but, can we put a price on our country??
So what a President says doesn’t matter?!?
Is he gay or something?
FREEPERS think so. I pray to God that we never find out. lol.
"Thats your interpretation. The Holy Spirit took over when I was baptized a Catholic. Thats when I was born. "
Are you talking about baptism as a baby/child? When a baby is baptized, they aren't old enough to make the concious decision to accept Jesus and live for God. Therefore, in the event that the baby grows up to be an atheist or someone who rejects Jesus, that 'baptism' didn't cause them to be 'born again', or saved. It's just a ceremony.
Being born from above is a true change of heart, a decision to repent and accept God and become a new creation. That doesn't happen automatically just because someone was baptized as a baby, it is something that requires an actual decision on our part.
Ok, < / off topic >
carry on.
As restitution, each one of the republican candidates should be allowed to send one person to the democrats’ debate to ask Hillary a question.
Yes, I did, immensely. It was his campaign website, actually, that inspired that thread.
“The average person isnt going to run out of his house and cast aspersions on the work crew and demand ID. Maybe you are an exception. BTW, when Romney had these people working, this issue was not huge. It is, however becoming so.”
Honest people do not establish long term relationships with illegals and recommend them to friends.
You called me, a 40 year anti-illegal alien guy a Johnie come lately, and now you tell me that Romney’s use of illegals only a year ago, until the December 2006 article came out, was OK because the issue wasn’t huge then.
++”In 1994, Republican Michael Huffington lost his bid for the US Senate after acknowledging he had employed an illegal immigrant as a nanny for five years.”++
The stars-and-bars> Not discussed during the debate.
Thank you. :^)
And Huckabee is a big government socialist nut.
And corrupt as hell.
Almost all the questions were plants between Ron Paul, Edwards, and Hildabeast.
You’re welcome! :-]
