8pm ET/5pm PT
Hosted by Anderson Cooper
Candidates participating:
I appreciate your comments about hiring a contractor and not knowing who they are, legal or illegal. We have done that and never even saw the people that painted our house. Had a painting contractor come in to paint our basement and never talked to anyone. Seems to be a mute point for me.
“Jeff Toobin said anyone who wants to get rid of the IRS is crazy.”
I have to agree with him. It was an insane remark by Huckabee. He just threw that one out there. Anderson should have asked him just how he expects to do that. Huckabee has no credibility.
Yeah, he said he wasn’t aware of that.
Isn’t that the same excuse Hillary uses when she gets caught up in a lie?
>> “The rest of us don’t want a Southern Baptist preacher for president extorting taxes from us to pay for “what Jesus wants him to do.” <<
Didn’t he say that ‘Jesus was too smart to be a politician”?
There’s something shifty about a preacher who will leave enlightening his flock - and the world -
(for what he believes to be the saving grace of all), to become a politician.
If the Saving Grace were all important to him (and his total being), he would not desert his preaching to the sinners about gaining salvation - to run for President.
You are exactly right. Romney really bombed on that question.
“You think the Jews thought that God lived on earth?”
The Jews knew that God dwelt in the heavens, but that He had established, via their nation, an earthly kingdom. God would, at times, appear in the innermost court of the Jewish temple.
I agree. I thought Mitt handled the illegal immigrant question extremely well.
“Youre just hacked off because mitty bombed tonight, LOL.”
You’re just hacked off,... period.
From NR tonight.
Richelieu: A Depressing Debate
November 28, 2007 By Richelieu
What a depressing debate. CNN’s long slide into mediocrity accelerates. Is this what running for president of the greatest democracy in the world has become? Standing in front of CNN’s corporate logo in a hall full of yowling Ron Paul loons and enduring clumsy webcam questions from Unabomber look-a-likes in murky basements?
I feel lucky to be from an earlier century where your own founding fathers knew that the secret to government is to protect it from the daily mob. Clearly the boundless paranoia of middle-aged media executives about the kids and their mysterious “Internet” has led them to stoop to this kind of pandering foolishness. They should feel shame tonight.
So, a good night for for the lowest denominator, a bad night for the GOP. America got to see a vaguely threatening parade of gun fetishists, flat worlders, Mars Explorers, Confederate flag lovers and zombie-eyed-Bible-wavers as well as various one issue activists hammering their pet causes. My cheers went to a listless Fred Thompson who easily qualified himself to be president in my book by looking all night like he would cheerfully trade his left arm for an early exit off the stage to a waiting Scotch and good Cuban cigar. The media will probably award a win to Mike Huckabee, the easy listening music candidate at home in any crowd, fluent in simpleton speak and the one man on the stage tonight who led the audience to roaring cheers by boasting that he had a special qualification to be president that none of the second-raters on the stage could match: A degree in Bible Studies from Ouachita Baptist University of Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
LOL, you just want to urinate all over everyone tonight who doesn’t share your worship of mitty, don’t you...I’ve seen you post to several different people in the same tone...maybe you’d better have a little sip of wine, and calm down, huh?
“Mitt wasnt governor of Massachusetts last year.”

Last year was 2006. He was governor ALL OF LAST YEAR when his “administration named two homosexual men as last years ‘adoptive parents of the year.’
You claim he couldn’t have done that because he “wasn’t governor governor last year.” I don't know how many more times you need to be shown that he did what you claimed he couldn't. You are a Rommney-bot.
I’ll wait until tomorrow to see it this story has any traction.
CNN is so in the tank for Hillary. Why the Republicans don’t just boycott them is beyond me.
I agree. Either that or into some sort of new age cult type thing. His eyes really creeped me out - they didn’t seem normal.
I would proudly support Thompson or Hunter any day. But Huckabee seems to think well on his feet and seems to know how to work the Media. Leading in Iowa is not to shabby too, hey?
We do not know who held the flippers that generated that audience poll.
I hoping Huck wins Iowa.
Obviously, I think the burden should be on the contractors and not the person receiving services. With that in mind, I did tell my lawn service company that I did not want any illegals employed here. Since this is a repeat business, this is a possible solution.
In St. Pete, the people ARE blue. Did you notice the Oscar type pan of the audience towards a break? Who are they kidding? That was no Oscars which I think is a boring annual event.
“LOL, you just want to urinate all over everyone tonight who doesnt share your worship of mitty, dont you...Ive seen you post to several different people in the same tone...maybe youd better have a little sip of wine, and calm down, huh?”
You might want to have a little sip of wine yourself to kill that bug you’ve got up your a$$.
What did you think of our guy...when he had the opportunity to speak?
