Republican Presidential Candidate Debate #10 St. Petersburg, Florida 11/28/07 - Official Discussion Thread
CNN will hold this debate, hosted by Anderson Cooper, with submitted questions in video form via YouTube.
8pm ET/5pm PT
Hosted by Anderson Cooper
Candidates participating:
Interestingly enough, Florida (Tampa)
The viewers wanted to see more about health care, Iran....more substantive issues.
Anderson Cooper...silence, then “maybe next time.”
I won’t hold my breath.
I have to agree with that. The alternative is unthinkable.
When the CNN guy said she was leaning to someone people might not expect, I was thinking Ron Paul... but Edwards, come on...
Had to work late, missed the debate. I asked my brother who won, he says he’s voting for Duncan Hunter. So am I.
“Sure, Rick..I’ll join hands and sing Kumbaya, and give $$ to our foreign brothers and sisters in need.
But I don’t have to take them all into my house to be a good Christian.
Huckabee thinks we should.
sw”
I wouldn’t put it that way as far as helping others. It’s important.
But Huckabee’s position is wrong on illegal immigration, and any conservative should know that.
Being for the second amendment does not mean every guy who was holding a gun had to cock his weapon... IMO, CNN picked the gun cockers to scare people into thinking gun control is good cuz look at the scary gun nuts (CNN’s strategy for showing guns pointed at the candidates and/or cocked). That would scare little old ladies and moderates. CNN used the GOP for propaganda purposes imo. The candidates weren’t as scary as the questioners. What a bunch of stalkers. lol
You know, I don’t disagree that much with your list, but it is hard to say just who did the best, narrowing it to one choice. I thought Thompson did better than many of the pundits have been saying. I found that I agree with Tancredo more than anyone else, but I love how Paul stirs up McCain, et al.
Maybe she can join the “Republicans” for Edwards club, and be the only member.
Oh you know about the last debate on CNN with the Democrats right? All questioners were potted plants- every single one even when CNN introduced them as independent voters. It was disgusting and you can read more at FReeRepbulic by doing a search.
I’m saying the immature guy wielding the Bible is more than likely an atheist. CNN found the worst of the worst for most of the questions.
The “undecideds”....did CNN deliberately find the dumbest least attractive bunch of registered Republicans? They look like they were bused in from the home....
Apparently Anderson Cooper didn’t Ask and General Fudgepacker didn’t Tell.
Pray for W and Our Victorious Troops
Same here.
CNN is pathetic. Their gay general is listed at http://www.hillaryclinton.com/news/release/view/?id=2196 as those among Clinton’s “LGBT Americans For Hillary Steering Committee”.
No kidding. Keith Kerr is listed on that Hillary web site.
Unbelievable.
Yes, Paul said it is because people are fed up with the establishment of both parties. I doubt though that 10 percent of the people have ever heard of Dr. Paul. I cannot see him getting more than 10 percent anywhere.
I’m all in
The one thing that Romney has not flipped on his pro gay stance for the military.
“”I believe that the Clinton compromise was a step in the right direction. I am also convinced that it is the first of a number of steps that will ultimately lead to gays and lesbians being able to serve openly and honestly in our nations military. That goal will only be reached when preventing discrimination against gays and lesbians is a mainstream concern, which is a goal we share ””
