There are a couple of brands out there. One’s called Van Gogh. The other is called Goldenbarr.

You think they’d be surprised if you did? I didn’t think so! LOL!

I should at least share some kimchi, right? I teased my FIL and told him I'd bring some of that dak kalbi sauce to rub down the turkey with before baking. He didn't take me up on my offer.

Hot Brown

6 tablespoons butter
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
1 1/2 cups turkey or chicken broth
1 1/2 cups milk
3/4 cup Parmesan cheese
12 slices toasted bread
sliced turkey
paprika
12 slices tomatoes
12 slices bacon, cooked
PREPARATION:
Directions for Hot Brown Sandwiches
In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Blend in flour; stirring until smooth. Stir in salt and pepper. Gradually add broth and milk. Continue cooking, stirring constantly, until smooth and thickened.
Add grated cheese; simmer for about 8 minutes. Sauce will be quite thick. Arrange 2 slices of toast on each of 6 ovenproof plates. Top each slice of toast with turkey slices, cover with sauce, then sprinkle with a little paprika. Top each with a slice of tomato and a slice of cooked bacon. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes or until sauce is bubbly. Hot brown sandwich recipe serves 6.

To: TASMANIANRED; All

Hi! Happy “Day After” Pig Out Day!

I haven’t read all the recipes and suggestions, yet - but I always make Turkey Tetrazzini after Thanksgiving.

1 lb. box angel hair pasta (or thin spaghetti)
2 cups chopped (cooked) turkey
1/2 large box velveeta cheese (chopped into 1” squares)
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 c. milk

Cook pasta - drain, put in 9x11 pre-greased pan (Pam works)
Put cheese, soup and milk in large bowl in microwave
Cook on high about five minutes - stirring occasionally

Stir turkey into cheese/soup mixture, pour over pasta. Stir to blend.

Cook (uncovered) at 350 about 30 minutes. Top with seasoned bread crumbs (I use rice crispies, potato chips, corn flakes and bread crumbs) - return to oven and bake until topping starts to brown (about 15 minutes.)

Serves 8 or 6 really hungry dudes.

OK, folks. The above ingredients are estimates. I just throw the stuff together, and it is always delicious. I suppose you could use some herbs and seasoning or add onions, garlic and celery - but it always tastes so wonderful plain, that I haven’t tried adding spices.

If you make it - let me know - if you think we should change anything. ~yorkie

If you have a “Beverages and More” store, just ask them to point you in the direction of the flavoured vodkas. Ask them if they have the chocolate flavoured stuff, if they don’t have it, they might order it for ya.

Hope your day was just as good, Kathy!

Yep - I’m a little sleepy - but if I do turn in right now, I’ll be wide awake at 5:30am, and I would not be a happy camper that early!

So, I’m forcing myself to stay awake for awhile longer!

Yep.. usually called KY hot brown.

It is very good. I’ve had it out and made it at home.

Worth the effort.
