Just Three Weeks Before Dallas, Feds Uncovered Plot to Kill JFK in Chicago, Says Ex-Secret Service Agent By CHUCK GOUDIE, WLS-TV

A former Secret Service agent has told WLS-TV there was a plot to kill President Kennedy in Chicago three weeks before he was assassinated in Dallas.
Kennedy was murdered on Nov. 22, 1963. Today is the 44th anniversary of JFK's assassination.
Lee Harvey Oswald would never have had the chance to kill Kennedy in Dallas, had an assassination plot in Chicago succeeded three weeks earlier, a plot that has been mentioned over the years.
Kennedy was due to arrive in Chicago the morning of Nov. 2 to attend the Army-Air Force football game at Soldier Field and ride in a parade. Newspapers had even printed JFK's detailed travel plan from O'Hare airport to the Loop.
Although police were preparing to line the motorcade route, Secret Service officials in Chicago were deeply troubled about the visit because of two secret threats.
Right-wing radical and Kennedy denouncer Thomas Vallee had arranged to be off work for JFK's visit; Vallee, an expert marksman, was arrested with an M1 rifle, a handgun and 3,000 rounds of ammo. But then there was the phone call to federal agents from a motel manager concerning what she'd seen in a room rented by two Cuban nationals.
"Had seen lying on the bed several automatic rifles with telescopic sights, with an outline of the route that President Kennedy was supposed to take in Chicago that would bring him past that building," said former Secret Service agent Abraham Bolden....
With a veep like Johnson waiting in the wings, Kennedy’s assassination was inevitable. A modern day equivalent would be a President Obama with Hillary for V.P..
While I hold to that as well, it remains to be proven. One way to prove it is to re-examine the sound of the shots recorded on the Dallas PD recording machine and compare the amplitude of the other two shots. Roselli and Files shot at almost the same instant, according to Files' confession, files shooting last with the fatal shot. It should sound like one retort and the amplitude should show it to be louder than the other shots.
In addition, the sound analysis should show two spikes close together. And there should be evidence on the Zapruder film showing two impacts within microseconds of each other. This can still be tested. If two shots were fired almost at the same time, you can bet Roselli and Files did the dirty deed and Oswald was a patsy.
There you have it, folks. If this can be proven, case closed. If not, I seriously doubt if the absolute truth will ever be known and fifty years from now researchers will probably have to wade through at least a thousand new scenarios, all claiming to be the final word, just like this one here.

(footnote: HSCA 180-10070-10273 interview with Abraham Bolden 1-19-78, declassified 1-5-96)....With their surreptitious surveillance blown, the Secret Service felt it had no choice but to go ahead and detain the men, so 'the two subjects were apprehended and brought to the Chicago Secret Service office,' Bolden told investigators. [Investigative journalist Edwin] Black writes that 'the two men were taken into custody (but not actually arrested or booked) in the very early Friday hours and brought to the Secret Service headquarters. There are no records that any weapons were found in their possession or back at the rooming house."
So what if JFK stole the 1960 election IN Chicago. We are supposed to look beyond that and realize that QUITE POSSIBLY (!!!) a radical right winger plotted an attempted on JFK who later died of assassination!!!
This is going to be an UGLY campaign season. Expect more "right wing nooses" in schools and expect ZERO coverage of the homes, cars, and signs that get tagged with swastikas to identify the homes and businesses of GOP supporters (as was done nationwide in 2004 but always treated as a local small print story).
I haven't read "Case Closed" but read most of "Reclaiming History" and it changed my mind about who really killed JFK, that there was no conspiracy. Mark Furhman's book was good also.
I think it was the Shamrock, which had been maintained awhile. I think Castro stayed there too.
Maybe that can be a conspiracy as well.
Oh yes, TTA. My Dad worked with them for almost 40 years, from TTA to long after they merged with Continental. I practically grew up at the Austin airport for the first 5 years of my life.
It is truer and more compelling than anything in this “news” report.

I remember seeing the Rice Hotel footage, too - but lived in OK at the time. Only later did I learn that JFK hadn’t even spent the night here - just used a Rice suite for changing clothes before a speaking engagement, then jetting on to Foat Wuth for the night.
Ruby was supposed to be a fixture at the local PD station and many Dallas P.D. Detectives and Officers a fixture at his nightclubs.
I remember watching the shooting when I was a small child. I remember my mom quoting one police officer she heard say, "Damn you, Jack!" right after Oswald was shot.
