But, if its all about perception, then I dont see how a 3rd place finish helps FDT. The rap on him before he announced was Just wait till Fred gets in. He was touted as the 2nd coming, and widely seen as the Saviour for the GOP in 2008.That was not how everyone saw him, not even by we who wanted him to run. We knew he would be someone who could draw votes from the RINOS, and give conservatives a viable candidate.
Many have trashed him from the time he even mentioned the possibility, and are still trashing him today.

It would be curious if both Thompson and Obama come out of Iowa as winners...and surge in New Hampshire. Rudy G’s campaign starts to really slow down at this point...as does Hillary’s. The media’s entire scenario of Hillary versus Rudy G in November might sink...and we sit and ponder a election situation between Thompson and Obama...which would be a bit more difficult to gauge.

Some candidate needs to run an ad showing Huckabee doing his nanny-state thing vowing to end smoking in ten years.
It is insane that this wackadoo is running second on polls in Iowa.
For me the nanny state is a deal-killer. I cannot support (or even tolerate) any candidate that supports it.
