Quote of the day
Earlier this year, a little girl in Oregon sent me a picture she had drawn. It's a large American flag -- and it stood in the glow of bright orange sun. The spirit that inspired Franklin and Sandburg and other generations of America lives in the heart of this child. She sees America in the light of a rising sun. And so do I, and so do millions of our citizens. It's hard to be anything but grateful when you live in a country full of compassionate and decent citizens -- a land our fathers always knew was blessed by the Almighty God

THANK YOU PRESIDENT BUSH . . .
On this Thanksgiving we should remember to thank God for blessing us with a president who has the vision, character and courage to make the RIGHT decisions regardless of the personal/political consequences.
Because President Bush made the RIGHT decision, the surge is working in Iraq and a complete victory is at hand!
Because President Bush made the RIGHT decision, a break through in ETHICAL (NONembryonic) stem cell research has been made:
BUSH BEARS FRUIT
New discoveries pave the way for ethical stem-cell research, thanks to the presidents policies.
By Wesley J. Smith
Throughout his presidency, the Science Intelligentsia has castigated President Bush for placing limits on the federal funding of embryonic-stem-cell research (ESCR). Acting as if he had a banned ESCR, which of course he hadnt, the scientists and their camp followers in the media and on Capital Hill accused the president of withholding cures from the ill in order to impose his religious beliefs on a reluctant public.
. . .
I believe that many of these exciting alternative methods would not have been achieved but for President Bushs stalwart stand promoting ethical stem-cell research. Indeed, had the president followed the crowd instead of leading it, most research efforts would have been devoted to trying to perfect ESCR and human-cloning research which, despite copious funding, have not worked out yet as scientists originally hoped.
So thank you for your courageous leadership, Mr. President. Because of your willingness to absorb the brickbats of the Science Establishment, the Media Elite, and weak-kneed Republican and Democratic politicians alike we now have the very real potential of developing thriving and robust stem-cell medicine and scientific research sectors that will bridge, rather than exacerbate, our moral differences over the importance and meaning of human life.

As MARK NOONAN stated today on his newly named “Blogs For Victory” website:
. . . what we have seen since election day 2006 is a masterful political performance by a man who is still misunderestimated by his critics. Youd think that since hes been running rings around the Democrats and the MSM since 2000 that they would finally get a clue about how over-matched they are by President Bush. But, no: they keep on as if their stories of him being stupid are true. Ah, well - it will be 50 years before a true understanding of President Bush can be presented to the American people. We of our generation with all of our passions will have to pass from the scene, and then people will be able to learn about one of Americas greatest Presidents as he really is.
