On a separate issue, supporters of a move to declare the entire park a military historical district complain that their ideas aren't being heard.
Joe Janesic, vice president of the Friends of Fort MacArthur, said the group has worked for more than two decades to preserve and secure the former federal property's place in history.
Members complain they've been given too little say in the process, adding that the Angels Gate Cultural Center is dominating the master plan and is moving too fast.

Museum officials are asking for the publics help to let the councilwoman know that the history of this fort and the work that the museum is doing to support the history of the U.S. Armed Forces is of great value and that their efforts to have the site declared a state historic district should be supported.
