President Bush's former chief political strategist writes that Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton can be defeated next year, but he argues it won't be easy.
In his debut column for the liberal Newsweek magazine, Karl Rove describes Hillary as "hard" and "brittle."
Recalling two encounters with the former first lady who seemed agitated by his mentioning of a vanity mirror in her old West Wing office, Rove says Hillary is "tough, persistent and forgets nothing."

Rove is a sharp cookie and he knows both Washinghton and Hillary. I think the perception of Hillary far outweighs the perception.
IMO, we are seeing the beginnings of her defeat in November as her negatives continue to rise and she continues to give lackluster debate performances. Despite the pandering of the MSM, reports from the most recent Dem debate suggest that Wolf (Wussy Cat) Blitzer handled her with kid gloves per his marching orders from CNN and she delivered another weak debate.
She’s vulnerable and Rove is just easing his way into stating it as fact.
Which I think is a great line, because it is an indirect way of reminding the voters of the other Clinton and interns.
Not this woman.
except when in front of a grand jury
President Hillary == Governor Blanco
Hillary may be sitting in the Oval Office, but you can be sure that Bill is right down the hall or his number is on the RED PHONE at her fingertips.
There is only one way to defeat the Clintons...and it's against the law and the Ten Commandments.
“Implied”. Watch this be translated into Rove calling her a bitch.
Rove didn’t call her a bitch, that’s just what the article implied to smear Rove. Maybe you should have read it.
eeeeeewww
& no warning!
LOL

Its telling in his ‘debute column’ about national politicsl Rove doesn’t mention Immigration ONCE.
Which is why the administration has lost 20% of the Republican support it had in November of 2004.
Now that’s what I’m talkin about! America’s Mother in Law resonates and is painful.
I think you underestimate the her ruthless effectiveness in running bimbo eruption patrol in the White House. She ran the private investigators, coordinated the defenses and the daily lies, and decided when and how to trash the women who spoke out against Bill. She also was the author of the travel office firings. Those were Herculean tasks, and she was a key leader on all of them!
And, in fact, it points out the likely strategy against her. If she can be needled into a reaction -- and we know she can -- then she'll only hurt herself.
The corollary is obvious: her handlers know it, too, which is why they are so careful to script her appearances, right down to assigning questions. So the R strategy is to focus on her scripted appearances, and use them against her.
Actually, I think the D's have also figured this out, which is why those strategies have started coming out in the primaries.
For a presidential candidate, though .... all it takes is for her to lose it in public once, maybe twice, and she's toast.
There's a reason why her appearances are so tightly controlled....
You are right. The strategy should be to goad her into losing her composure.
...as many times as possible.
Now you.ve done it! I won’t be able to sleep very well tonight after seeing that picture. When I wake up screaming the neighbors will be calling 911.
