KOLD News 13 Tucson is currently running a special report focused on a urgent FBI report outlining a possible terrorist threat in southern Arizona. It speaks specifically to Fort Huachuca in Sierra Vista. The document gives no timetable or explanation of how the threat will be carried out. But it does say, a group of Iraqis may have entered the United States through tunnels from Mexico into Arizona, and those same Iraqis are believed to be the ones who will perpetrate the attack on Fort Huachuca.
*smile* and if I had only clicked on the link provided I would have realized it was the right one. The name of the source threw me off.
IIRC they were trying to get to the trains to get to the
El Paso area so they could make their way north or east...

The Blotter: FBI: Iraqis Being Smuggled Across the Rio Grande
http://blogs.abcnews.com/theblotter/2007/07/fbi-iraqis-bein.html
The FBI is investigating an alleged human smuggling operation based in Chaparral, N.M., that agents say is bringing “Iraqis and other Middle Eastern” individuals across the Rio Grande from Mexico.
An FBI intelligence report distributed by the Washington, D.C. Joint Terrorism Task Force, obtained by the Blotter on ABCNews.com, says the illegal ring has been bringing Iraqis across the border illegally for more than a year.
Border Patrol officials in the area said they were unaware of the specifics of the FBI’s report, and federal prosecutors in New Mexico told ABCNews.com they had no current cases involving the illegal smuggling of Iraqis.
The FBI report, issued last week, says the smuggling organization “used to smuggle Mexicans, but decided to smuggle Iraqi or other Middle Eastern individuals because it was more lucrative.” Each individual would be charged a fee of $20,000 to $25,000, according to the report.
The people to be smuggled would “gather at a house on the Mexican side of the border” and then cross the Rio Grande into the U.S., the report says.
“Unidentified individuals would then transport them to train stations in El Paso, Texas or Belen, New Mexico,” according to the FBI document.
A spokesman in Albuquerque said the FBI had “no viable information” that could lead to a case.
Until recently, the United States has kept its doors all but shut to the estimated two million refugees fleeing the violence in Iraq. Until this year, the country had taken in fewer than 800 Iraqi refugees, according to the State Department. This May, the Bush administration pledged to resettle 7,000 Iraqi refugees here by the end of the year.

“The military is always a target, I believe.
Thats Lt. Colonel Matthew Garner of the United States Army.
He says Fort Huachuca was notified of the threat in May and very specific measures were taken to protect the Fort and its 13-thousand people.
For security purposes, he wouldnt tell us what those measures were.
But assured us Fort Huachuca is fully prepared for any threat that comes its way.”

INTERNET-HAGANAH.com: "UN SACRIFICIO POR LA CAUSA DE ALLAH" (ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Since we first reported on Hizballah's Latin American offspring, it appeared to be a strictly Venezuelan phenomenon. Since then, however, new shoots have sprung up in El Salvador and in Chiapas in southern Mexico. To say that these folks are not "real Hizballah" is true to a point. We are used to thinking of Hizballah as a strictly-controlled entity of Lebanese origin operating at the behest of the Iranian regime. It is possible that no one is more surprised than Hizballah Lebanon to learn that they have given rise to Latin American affiliates, but they have. If there is one thing Iran and Hizballah could use right now, it's operatives who are not Iranian, not Lebanese, not obviously Arab or Persian - people who are more likely to be able to travel below the radar. Guys like this (sans the bomb - we're sure the Revolutionary Guards can hook the brother up with something more effective when he gets to his final destination): There is no reason to think anything good will come from all this.") At a center he runs in Oaxaca, a young, intelligent Egyptian man approached Morales after noticing his Texas license plates -- something rare in Oaxaca. "He looked like a Mexican man," Morales notes. "He wanted me to bring him to the border." In Reynosa, another Arabic man approached him about buying a car. The man seemed to have plenty of money at his disposal. "You hear a lot along the border," Morales says. "The presence of these people is here," he notes. "Theyre not what they say they are." "They can buy their way in because they have money," he adds.") Reminds me of a skit in Monty Python: Two crooked types march into the office of the CO of an Army base and try to push a protection scheme:”You wouldn’t want nuffink to happen to them tanks, would you? Something bad could happen to them 4000 paratroopers you got ‘ere.”
It is Thanksgiving, I am feeling exceptionally patriotic.
With that in mind, I say:
Shutter the Mosques and Intern the Muslims now. All of them. If you are a member of a mosque you are no better than if you were a National Socialist during the 1940’s in America.
Intern them until the end of Hostilities. Ask yourself this: During World War 2, would America have tolerated Open Bund Meetings, encouraging the spreading of National Socialism, every Friday Afternoon, in cities around the country. Would we have tolerated minions of Tojo, meeting to sip sake and praise the Jap War Machine. We would not. We did what we had to do, and it worked. Today the agents of Soviet Style Socialism call it Racial Profiling. They are wrong—it is being proactive against the worshippers of the child rapist, moon worshipper—Muhammed.
Its time America, this is our Battle of San Jacinto, lets pull the plug on the islamic menace and apologize to no one for our vigilance.
Happy Thanksgiving.

When we lived in Sierra Vista, we enjoyed going to Tuscon for R&R!
But both areas are crawling with illegals. AND it's no secret that Ft. Huachucha can't keep the illegals off their property.
The Veteran's Cemetery is lush and lovely. There are many graves that date post civil war. It's amazing and we are honored our parents are laid to rest there.
Be safe, Slip..

I always carry a lion tag in my wallet and .44 or .45 holstered on my hip. Lions are in season year-round. Gives me an excuse, just in case I need it.
