Should we stop Muslims from immigrating to the USA?

Posted on 11/12/2007 7:59:49 PM PST by cradle of freedom

Should we stop immigration by Muslims? It seems quite self evident that there are too many cultural conflicts between Islam and our way of life. Yet, our immigration system keeps allowing large numbers of Muslims to immigrate into our country causing all kinds of cultural frictions and safety concerns. The more Muslims there are in the country the more jihadists there will be in our midst, the more travel between us and Islamic countries and the harder it will be to find the jihadists among the every increasing Muslim population.

“I reckon if we want to ignore the part of our Constitution that encourages freedom of religion we could outlaw any further influx and practice of the muslim faith.”

*****************

A foreigner has no Constitutional right to freedom of religion. Before immigrating, they are still considered a foreign national.

There are already 1/3rd of a billion Americans, why push it to a billion? ALL immigration should be drastically curtailed.

SOYLENT GREEN IS PEOPLE! :)

The land area of the United States is pretty close to the land area of China. China has a billion Chinese, and they love their overpopulation so much they have laws on how many babies you can have.

Take a trip to Japan and see the wonders of high population density, come back to America and go hunting or fishing. Do you want high population density?

You are, as a religious bigot, entitled to your opinion. Thankfully, you are in a very small minority. America will never tolerate a religious litmus test for entry into this country nor will it allow millions of their fellow citizens to be forcibly removed based on their religion.

I am not a Muslim but have lived nine years in Islamic countries. Islam is not the enemy, just the lunatic fringe that is trying to radicalize the entire religion. Sentiments like yours actually helps this radicalization.

We are well on our way to a billion people, primarily due to our pro-population growth immigration policies. Since 1970, we have added 100 million to our population.

If immigration continues at current levels, the nation’s population will increase from 301 million today to 468 million in 2060 — a 167 million (56 percent) increase. Immigrants plus their descendents will account for 105 million (63 percent) of the increase. The total projected growth of 167 million is equal to the combined populations of Great Britain, France, and Spain. The 105 million from immigration by itself is equal to 13 additional New York Cities.

How so? I am attacking militant Islamic fundamentalism, the real enemy. I am not attacking or blaming America for 9/11. Our big mistake was greasing the skids on the Shah of Iran, which allowed Khomeini to hijack the Iranian Revolution and act as the worlds biggest state sponsor of terrorism. The only way we can win the WOT is regime change in Iran.

This is totally insane.

What is insane? The data? Or the current immigration policies and unsecured border that allows this country to take in numbers far more than we can assimilate?

The entire population of the world could comfortably fit into an area the size of Texas. Our immigration policy may not be strict enough, but it does not prohibit citizens, or potential citizens, from practicing the Muslim faith. It is this attribute of our country that causes many to want citizenship. Various types of Muslims may practice their faith here without fear of persecution from the government.

We declare outright in the Bill of Rights that we will not establish laws favoring one religion over another. We have the option of amending the Bill of Rights, but it would be difficult to single out one religion in particular as unworthy, and even more difficult to enforce.

Some will argue there is no peacable way to practice the Muslim faith; that it by definition calls for the overthrow of secular government. Some would argue the same regarding the Christian faith. Some in our country attempt to argue that Hitler practiced the Chritian faith.

Practioners of any religion who use their religion to overthrow the government “we the people” have established ought not be admitted into our country. Those present already ought to be imprisoned or deported.
