They’re trying to spin this as “liberals are more open to other points of view” - that’s pure BS. The most intolerant people on earth are “liberals”.

Mr Zogby misread his results. Libs listen to conservative radio and conservatives don’t listen to liberal radio because:

Conservative radio is good.
Liberal radio SUCKS rocks.

and again they assign “red” to the conservative side, to avoid giving it (most appropriately) to the socialist Left.

MrB,

That would be a nice conclusion IF that was what Zogby was actually polling. Instead, he is trying to apply the results of very vague and open-ended questions to something very specific. For libs to say “oh yeah, I love stuff I don’t agree with” and to ACTUALLY PRACTICE ON THAT BELIEF are two totally different things.

If you want to find out if libs actually listen to Rush, why doesn’t Zogby perform a REAL poll that asks, “Do you listen to Rsuh Limbaugh? Given only two choices, are you more likely to classify yourself as a liberal or conservative?”

Wow - then you’d ACTUALLY get some results instead of trying to create some BS extrapolation from BS data.

OF COURSE, libs say they are tolerant. That’s what they SAY. How they act is another matter altogether.

Real message behind the poll: conservatives are more intellectually honest than liberals.

I notice they don't mention liberals watching Foxnews... Liberals like shows with political themes because nearly all the shows with political themes have liberal themes (except on fox). That doesn't show open-mindedness to me - it shows conformity.

I'd guess conservatives have given up on movies, theater, museums, etc because the leftist messaging in those venues has become more and more blatant every year. It's not about not being open to hearing the other side, it's about being sick of hearing ONLY the other side. I'm sure their questions weren't focused enough to detect that...
