SANTA BARBARA, Calif. Hollywood producer Joel Surnow dismissed as nuts the notion that Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton can be elected president and said he and other conservatives in the entertainment industry are leaning toward supporting Republican Rudolph W. Giulianis presidential campaign.
The executive producer of Foxs Emmy-winning counter-terrorism thriller 24, interviewed following a Saturday speech to a conservative student group, also predicted that the current strike by screenwriters would be hugely long and settled to the disadvantage of the writers union.
Im not even sure that Hillary is a fait accompli [to win the Democratic Party nomination] as this point, Mr. Surnow told a group of reporters and bloggers in a wide-ranging interview during the Young Americas Foundations West Coast Leadership Conference. "Are we nuts thinking Hillary Clinton could be president of this country? Honest to God, just stand back and think about it."
Saying that he was probably going to get behind Rudy" for the White House, Mr. Surnow named comedian Dennis Miller as another entertainer who has come out as a conservative in the overwhelmingly liberal Hollywood environment and said that another popular comedian, Adam Sandler is going to come out and support Rudy Giuliani.

In Hollyweird, Giuliani is a knuckle-dragging Neanderthal, and even Hitlery is considered way too right wing.

Now, what we need is to get this writers strike over and done with —— soon. Then have the “24” producers insert a really scary story line on someone who resembles “you-know-who” and what her leadership would be like. Not the whole plot of the coming season, but enough of a story to scare the bejeepers out of those who blindly follow her.

In general terms, I’m not really talking about an election. Obviously voting for Rudy is problematic and you won’t catch me doing it. I’m not happy this guy would vote for Rudy, but it’s one less she’ll be getting if we’re lucky. Hopefully he’s be able to go for the Republican nominee if other than Rudy too.

So now we don't just care what vapid TV stars think. Now we have to care about the vapid TV-show PRODUCERS too?!? Let me know how Regis Philbin's hairdresser is going to vote so I can sleep at night.
Someone just wake me up when it's over.
