I hate wasting this much press time on Ron Paul. But the Paul campaign is becoming a real threat to the Republican primary process and if allowed to continue, he will take votes away from the most conservative Republican candidates in the party, not the most liberal. This is bad for the party and the country.
(snip)
So, how Republican is Republican candidate Ron Paul?
If hes funded largely by anti-war leftists, from Democrat stronghold districts and counting on Democrats, Libertarians and members of the Green Party to win the Republican nomination, not very

At least those kids aren’t out there waving Mao and Che posters.

they are together with them in protests...I bet you won’t see Paulers with the freepers supporting the troops on veteran’s day
There is a problem with this guys assumptions. Using his idea that a donor’s Zip code equates with their political leanings is simplisticly foolish and easily refutable.
http://opensecrets.org/2000elect/geog/P00003335.htm
There, the EXACT SAME argument, even using the same zip codes and metro areas, could have been used to attempt to discredit George Bush in the 2000 election.
(More simply, wealthy people who donate to campaigns don’t want to live in the cornfields of western Nebraska.)
Let me state that Eric Dondero is a good guy, and his opinion carries some weight regarding Paul’s mental state. That is disturbing.
Follow the facts to their natural conclusion and you decide.
The column tells on what basis it’s statements are made. Former Ron Paul aide and founder of the Libertarian Republican Caucus, official campaign fund filings and Ron Paul campaign sites telling non-Republicans to switch parties to vote for Paul in the Republican primaries.
None of those are “assumptions.” Those appear to be fact.
They don't have a single candidate running who could win in a national election...including Billary.
Unless, of course, they see to it that a very weak Republican is our nominee.
The better Paul finishes in the primaries, the more Repubs start dropping out due to lack of support and funding, etc.
But if Republicans want a Republican nominated by Republicans to run against Hillary, it's time to put an end to the Ron Paul campaign...
If hes funded largely by anti-war leftists, from Democrat stronghold districts and counting on Democrats, Libertarians and members of the Green Party to win the Republican nomination, not very
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago.......
You may be correct at least in part.
My grandparents did not have to pay vehicle tax, they had no car.
No utility tax or phone tax because they had neither.
Made their own cigarets and grain liquor, so no tax there.
Had a well, no water tax.
No sewer tax, had an out house.
Lets see 1907, do I really want to go back to the country as it was then?
NO!
LOL, JB Williams getting his facts from Dondero. Well that's a valid source...
Upon investigation, it appears that Mr. Dondero is exactly right. Much of Ron Pauls money is not coming from mainstream Libertarians or Republicans.
And he provides zip codes as 'evidence'. Wow, JB didn't know conservatives could only live in the certain zip codes. You've convinced me!!!
But if Republicans want a Republican nominated by Republicans to run against Hillary, it's time to put an end to the Ron Paul campaign...
Yep because the absolutely last thing the Republican party can stand for is liberty and freedom.
You know this isn't even a good hit piece. What's Mr. Williams day job?
They seem to try and pretend to hold a position they they are equally as contemptful of both "sides" but I rarely see the foaming at the mouth toward the liberal candidates.
Overall, they seem to be a pollyanna-ish lot who focus way too much on how things should be, than how things can be.
That is what lead me to the conclusion that the paulistinians are a cult...
Don’t kid yourself in such a childish manner...
If Paul was running as the third party candidate he really is, no problem.
If he were running as a republican on a republican platform seeking republican support, again, no problem.
But he is doing neither. He is using leftist talking points to appeal to leftist voters, using leftist money to pursue a Republican nomination....
That’s the problem.
Do you honestly not get this, or do you get it, but prefer to act like it isn’t so?
heh heh...
Did you, or did you not support George Bush’s 2000 election campaign, either in the primaries or at least in the general election?
Did you, or did you not support George Bush’s 2004 election campaign, either in the primaries or at least in the general election?

This article is patently stupid. I can’t find another word for it besides “stupid propaganda.”
LIES, DAMN LIES, AND STATISTICS.
People posting this on FreeRepublic are making this site look ridiculous.
Why not? Life was too hard?
I agree with you that if he ran as the GREEN PARTY candidate, he would do exactly that.
Outside of that, he would be Hillary’s greatest wet dream of the last 20 years.
“Lets see 1907, do I really want to go back to the country as it was then? — NO”
“Why not? Life was too hard?”
In the weeks that our responses would take to show up on the Free Republic forum by mail, the moment would be lost!
If that's the case, why are Republicans so freaked out that they are calling for "shutting down" Paul's campaign? We've heard for years that if a "true conservative" ran he would win easily...so what possible difference does it make if a Ron Paul is out there with an (R) after his name getting cross-over primary votes from liberals?
The only thing I see here is a tired, paternalistic old party feeling threatened that the kids might be listening to a message Dad doesn't approve of... ;)
It's incisive, cutting edge econo-political analyses such as these, ultimately, that have gifted the Ron Paul for President movement with the sparkling online reputation it enjoys today.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! ;)
