SIOUX CITY, Iowa Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clintons campaign admitted Friday that it planted a global warming question in Newton, Iowa, Tuesday during a town hall meeting to discuss clean energy.
Clinton campaign spokesman Mo Elliethee admitted that the campaign had planted the question and said it would not happen again.
"On this occasion a member of our staff did discuss a possible question about Senator Clinton's energy plan at a forum, Elliethee said.
However, Senator Clinton did not know which questioners she was calling on during the event. This is not standard policy and will not be repeated again.

"Clinton campaign spokesman Mo Elliethee admitted that the campaign had planted the question and said it would not happen again."
Translation:
- The questions will still be planted.
BUT
- We won't use amateurs to ask those questions.
- The people who ask the questions will be carefully chosen in advance of the event.
All past and future questions asked to the Hildabeast are suspect since we now know those questions and answers were carefully scripted.

Senator Clinton, taking a pre-planned question about whether she would take pre-planned questions,, said she agreed with Elliot Spitzer on this matter. “I won’t do it again, uless I do it again.”

That’s one criticism I really don’t like. You don’t see anyone making fun of Bill Richardson’s weight, and he’s actually overweight, unlike Hillary, who seems about average. We should be hitting Hillary on being a liberal in moderate’s clothing and for being a calculating fake. Leave the sexist stuff out of it.

Kind of reminds me of the story of her photo op reading a book to some kids who were in a Childrens hospital. Apparently the real sick children made too unappealing a photo, so the medical staff was instructed to bring in their healthy children dressed in pajamas. Are you f***ing kidding me! THat can't be true.

Just read the DFU thread about the hospital thing. I totally believe this could be true. But they need someone to confirm the incident. The GOP should aggressively check this out, this would be the end for her.

Hilliary was
so on and prepared for this question.
The first thing she said was to acknowledge how important questions like these are from young people. Pandering for votes. Good job Hilliary, but you got caught.

No wonder the Hillary Camp was mad at Tim Russert. He asked her an unscripted/unplanted question. Why, thats outright piling on and, no doubt, a manifestation of the vast right wing conspiracy!

I’m convinced that it was Bill Clinton’s charm that kept the political machine together. Hillary is a horrible campaigner, has zero charm. Not very bright. With Bill, mistakes would be made and like a great con artist, he’d fool enough people into thinking everything was fine and dandy. Now Hillary’s the front man and the band’s not selling any records. She’s down to a 6 point lead in Iowa at RCP. I want her to be the nominee because she’ll get crushed in the general election. But she’s an idiot an will continue to make mistakes over the nect 54 or 55 days. And unlike Bill she’ll be unable to cover them up. I won’t be surprised if she’s not the democrat nominee after seeing her in action.

I remember the pony tailed guy and I remember Rush talking about him, but I never heard his question was a plant. Is this actually true?

I don’t know if the pony tailed guy was a plant or not. I can’t remember which debate it was but the pony tailed guy asked Bill Clinton how the government was going to take care of us or something stupid like that.

D*** straight.

Oh, yeah!! I remember Clinton responding to the pony tailed guy!! I remember thinking that Clinton would have been a perfect host for an old daytime TV show called “Queen for a Day”. They gave away stuff to deserving moms that had fallen on hard times (lots of blubbering). I’m probably showing my age here; its been off the air for a long time. He would have been perfect.

He could be the male oprah if he wanted to. Do a daily talk show, cry a few tears about the obstacles women have to face because of evil republicans. He’d make far more money than he is trying to sell books and making speeches.

I get a kick out of her staff saying Mrs. Clinton didn't know about the plant. Particularly since she said "
You know, I find as I travel around Iowa that it's usually young people that ask me about global warming." Unless I'm mistaken the whole point behind the planted question was precisely because young people were NOT asking about global warming. She simply had to have been prepared in advance to make that statement.

I dont know if the pony tailed guy was a plant or not. I cant remember which debate it was but the pony tailed guy asked Bill Clinton how the government was going to take care of us or something stupid like that. IIRC, it was Perot who was asked the "question", upon which the pony-tail guy began lamenting in sing-song voice "but we're your children, we're your children". Perot had a perplexed look on his face as he realized it was a set up ... if looks could kill!
Clinton meanwhile, seemed to relax visibly with satisfaction and an odd little smile which suggested that the pony-tail guy did a good job .....
Anyway, thats my remembrance of it ... FWIW, it happened a long time ago so maybe I'm wrong.
