Clinton Campaign Gets Caught Planting Questions We all know it happens, but we dont always have reasons to believe that the candidate is aware that it is happening. Sen. Hillary Clinton, though, apparently knew whom to call on at a campaign stop in Newton, and she pretended like it wasnt planned.
My friend Pat Caldwell, writing for the Grinnell College newspaper, got the scoop:
On Tuesday Nov. 6, the Clinton campaign stopped at a biodiesel plant in Newton as part of a weeklong series of events to introduce her new energy plan. The event was clearly intended to be as much about the press as the Iowa voters in attendance, as a large press core helped fill the small venue. Reporters from many major national news outlets came to the small Iowa town, from such media giants as The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, the Associated Press, and CNN.
After her speech, Clinton accepted questions. But according to Grinnell College student Muriel Gallo-Chasanoff 10, some of the questions from the audience were planned in advance. They were canned, she said. Before the event began, a Clinton staff member approached Gallo-Chasanoff to ask a specific question after Clintons speech. One of the senior staffers told me what [to ask], she said.
Clinton called on Gallo-Chasanoff after her speech to ask a question: what Clinton would do to stop the effects of global warming. Clinton began her response by noting that young people often pose this question to her before delving into the benefits of her plan.
But the source of the question was no coincidenceat this event they wanted a question from a college student, Gallo-Chasanoff said. She also noted that staffers prompted Clinton to call on her and another who had been approached before the event, although Clinton used her discretion to select questions and called on people who had not been prepped before hand. Some of the questions asked were confusing and clearly off-message.
I tried to reach Gallo-Chasanoff and Caldwell to get more information, but neither was immediately available. Still, I dont have any doubt that the story was reported accurately because I know some of the people involved.
It appears Clinton knew whom to call on, yet she pretended like Gallo-Chasanoff was asking the question because she was a young person not because a staffer had told her to. When I said that she needed to start taking questions more often to preserve her status in Iowa, I didnt mean it like this.
My heart would be bleeding if I were a liberal.
Should get play in the MSM...
Well, we know how that will go.
I will forward article to Drudge in hope.

Is there anything about this woman that isn’t phony?
She had the anwer all preped. Saying how she has noticed that it is the young who ask about global warming.
This negative publicity on the news had got be a shock to her system - she must be having nightmares "I'm loosing control of the media - just before I could take total and absolute control for real... How dare they? What's happening?"
The only spontaneous act that Hillary is capable of will be when that thumpin’ gizzard she calls a heart stops.
I suspect that there are no ashtrays left in whatever rooms Hillary is staying in right now.
The rest of us have enough life experience to know it gets cold, you put on a sweater; it gets hot, you take the sweater off, and that "global warming" - the buzz phrase for "manmade global warming" - is BS.
She's liable to shove a hoof through the television screen, any moment now. ;)
Hillary Clinton is the most devious of all women. This is no surprise to those who know what she is.
Lovely, just lovely.
I can hear the kackles from here.
Oh nevermind that was the tv in the other room. The Wizard of Oz is on right now.
LOL!
hillary is a fraud.
LOL!!! Read my Tagline!! She is the epitome of a PHONY....the Village she is always talking about is the Potemkin Village!!
Would you compare her to Livia, the evil grandmother mother of Claudius, of the I Claudius Mini-Series on Masterpiece Theatre?/Just Asking - seoul62..........
I thought that the team of girls heading up Hillary’s! campaign were the best in the business. Pretty sophomoric this week:
1) no debate prep on an issue important to her constituents and the country, then blame everyone else for your misstep;
2) stiff the waitress, then lie about the tip, then tip afterwards, then use her life story without permission;
3) plant questions and then use people you don’t even know to do so.
Girls rock!
