Every Thursday at the Finest |
|
You have a lot of sadness in your life right now and I pray that God will comfort you as only God can.
LOL :)
Hi (((Dita)))
This is so cute! How are you? I’m so tired tonight. I don’t know if I’ll be up much longer.
Happy Birthday, U.S. Marines.
I stood by your bed last night, I came to have a peep.
I could see that you were crying, You found it hard to sleep.
I purred to you softly as you brushed away a tear,
“It’s me, I haven’t left you, I’m well, I’m fine, I’m here.”
I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea,
You were thinking of the many times, your hands reached down to me.
I was with you at the shops today, Your arms were getting sore.
I longed to take your parcels, I wish I could do more.
I was with you at my grave today, You tend it with such care.
I want to reassure you, that I’m not lying there.
I walked with you towards the house, as you fumbled for your key.
I gently put my paw on you, I smiled and said “it’s me.”
You looked so very tired, and sank into a chair.
I tried so hard to let you know, that I was standing there.
It’s possible for me, to be so near you everyday.
To say to you with certainty, “I never went away.”
You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew...
in the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you.
The day is over... I smile and watch you yawning
and say “goodnight, God bless, I’ll see you in the morning.”
And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide,
I’ll rush across to greet you and we’ll stand, side by side.
I have so many things to show you, there is so much for you to see.
Be patient, live your journey out... then come home to be with me.
Dear Jaycee
I’m sorry to hear this news of your day.
My thoughts and prayers.
Hugs
Lady Jag, your Kitty Graphic in #68 is Adorable! She Looks Sort of Like a Kitty I had Years Ago Named Scraggs!
Oh my goodness, how sweet, a tear-jerker but precious. And it is soothing to think about your buddy being at your feet.
Thank you, G.B.~~
Very beautiful, Dita...thank you~~~
We Love you, jaycee, and More Prayers will Arise to our Lord when I Retire for the Night. I’m So Sorry your Son is having to Feel the Hurt of Losing a Kitty; I’ve had Many Kitties Over the Years, and it was So Painful to Lose Each One. :( It’s Good that he Wants to Place her at your House; when I Lost my Sweet Friend, Fang-Face, a Few Years Ago, I was still Living in the City, but my Husband and I had Recently Bought the King’s Ranch, and we Buried him Here at the Ranch. Just Thinking of him Brings Tears to my Eyes. My Heartfelt Prayers are with your Son, and I’ll Remember your Friend who Lost her Daughter in my Bedtime Prayers as Well.
Hi Kitty, I do love animals as do you and most Freepers do love them. During the many years I was married and raising two boys, we always had a dog and a cat, sometimes two cats.
If one dog passed, we would look for another one to love. In our days, we have had parakeets, rabbits, baby chickens and ducks, fish, and those little turtles kids like. We didn’t have all of these at the same time but at some time or another, we did. Kids always wanted a pet of some kind!! There is just something about little pets that brings out the best in a family! Thank you for your sweet words tonight. You always know what to say. Your prayers sure mean a lot to folks and I just wanted to offer a big thanks for your kindness. We must always remember our friends in prayer. That is one thing we CAN do, isn’t it> God Bless you, Kitty Mittens! Hope you have a good night’s rest and I believe I will as I am truly worn out tonight.
So precious!
Thank you, jaycee! Sleep Well in the Love and Grace of the King. Goodnight to the Finest, and our Lord Bless you All.
Please tell Prissy Missy that my big old fuzzy faced boy and I said.......
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!” We were really busy and then laggin’ so we didn’t make it
down for the rally this time. Anyway give her a BIG BIRTHDAY {{HUG}} for us.
Will do but her birthday is December 7th; the first Friday in December. She gets to pick where we go for dinner. :)
Hope you can make it next month.

READ: Luke 12:13-21
Beware of covetousness, for ones life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses. Luke 12:15
Driving down the highway in Houston, I passed a billboard with large letters that announced THE GOOD LIFE! I couldnt wait to get closer to read the small print, which explained that the good life was about buying a lakefront home starting at $300,000. Which made me wonder if some unhappy families might live in those homes, with kids who never see their parents, or couples who, though living on the lake, wish they werent even living together.
Luke 12 came to mind as I remembered the story of the man who asked Jesus to tell his brother to divide the inheritance with him. That was the wrong thing to ask Jesus! He replied with a warning, Beware of covetousness, for ones life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses (v.15). He then went on to tell the story of an extremely rich man who, from Gods point of view, was a foolnot because he was successfully wealthy but because he was not rich toward God.
The sooner we get over the illusion that more stuff means more peace, happiness, and self-fulfillment, the better off we will be. And then the more able we will be to find the longed-for peace and happinessthe true good lifethat only Jesus can provide.
