A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 200,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY

"Wear Red" Friday
You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED.
Word of mouth, press, TV -- let's see if we can make the United States, on any given Friday, a sea of red much like a home football game at a University. If every one of our memberships share this with other acquaintances, fellow workers, friends, and neighbors, I guarantee that it will not be long before the USA will be covered in RED - and make our troops know there are many people thinking of their well-being. You will feel better all day Friday when you wear Red! So let's get the word out and lead by example; wear RED on Fridays.
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE. FOR US, THEIR BLOOD RUNS RED!! GOD BLESS AMERICA.
I received this in my email June 10th, 2006 - the author is unknown. I am wearing red today and every Friday ~ Billie

Wet day here in ohio. The Browns lost. Church was great as usual & saw the move Bella afterward.
good flick but not a lot of continutity of story. Good editing but it goes to future/present/past quicky.
If you like a story line, no skin, no cussin’, no violence... well this may be your movie. But there is mature subject matter so not for kids IMO
somehow managed to misplace my driver’s license that I have only had since Tuesday!!! Am I blond or what?

*Smiling*... I noticed, Snugs, and I thought it was sweet.
Internet posting has done similarly strange things to my spelling, word usage, etc....:)
And, I am very glad the Remembrance Day tradition carries on, as well.

Hi Dolly, I’m sorry I missed listening to this radio address. It’s a good one. I had it on my mind to get out of here early yesterday, so forgot. However, it does grieve me that politics is being played with such important funding for the battle being fought by our brave warriors, and for their well-deserved veterans benefits. It’s heinous; there are no words for the spiritually bankrupt mean-ness of today’s Democrat Party. And, that’s the nice version of how I feel.

Ditto on your remarks. I am impressed you regularly listen. I am not sure it is even on any of our local stations. I have never herd one. (she hangs her head in shame)

Please don’t be impressed, Dolly. I’m rarely up early enough on Saturday to listen... also have CRS, if you know what I mean...:)
It is fun to catch it, though, so old-fashioned.
It would be wonderful to attend at Arlington....or, just to be there anytime.

Wet day here in ohio. We had about the same kind of drizzly wet day yesterday in the Central San Joaquin Valley, except probably a bit warmer here. But today is dawning with sunshine and rapidly burning off the early morning tule fog.
Yesterday we heard military jets on their way to a fly over at one of the Veteran's Day ceremonies being held. Even though Lemoore Naval Air Station is close, we rarely hear the jets. It always brings back memories of days growing up on Naval Air Bases where the sound of jets coming and going was an everyday thing. The deafening sound then was more of an annoyance, now I love hearing them. It makes me feel "safe", just knowing that they are there. And, it is awesome to realize the skill it takes to fly one of those masterpieces of modern engineering. Makes me proud that they are MY military!
