Surrounded by RINOs: RINOs to the Left of me and RINOs to the Right of me

RINOs have infested the GOP, and for that matter FreeRepublic. I am sure that there is a certain level of RINO infestation that can be lived with, but our Institutions are being over-run by these vermin.
The polls that show up on the bottom of the FreeRepublic page consistently show too much support for RINOs, and this is just unacceptable. I mean how can it be that RINOs like McCain, Romney, Ron Paul and Giuliani (among others) get so much Freeper support. I am not sure what we can, or should, do to eliminate this problem, but there has to be some sort of ultimate solution.
It seems like a consensus has emerged here that many here seem to agree with, and it goes something like: "There is no difference between [insert liberal Democrat Name here] and [insert RINO Name here], so it will do the GOP and Conservatism a great service to NOT support the RINO and let the LIBERALs have the election. I mean, theres no difference between them, and it will help the conservative movement, by showing how Liberalism and RINOism will destroy America."
Maybe for a start
..I might suggest that there be a grand list of RINOs that deserve NO support and that those on the list be PURGED in one fashion or another. I am trying to provide links to support my charges of RINO status.
Pat Robinson ...... McCain ....... Romney
Ron Paul...... Senator Coleman (MN)...... Senator Kit Bond (MO)
Giuliani ....... Mike Huckabee ..... Sen. George V. Voinovich
Sen. Collins ...... Senator Snowe ...... Sen. Hagel
Sen. John W. Warner ...... Senator Hatch (UT)..... Senator Lott (MS)
Senator Specter (PA) ..... Arnold Schwarzenegger ..... Senator Graham (SC)
Senator Lugar (IN) ...... Senator Kyl (AZ) ..... Senator Martinez (FL) ......
Fred Thompson
I am sure I could make this list hugely BIG like probably 10X this big ..... but I think I should let other FRepers join in so we can purge those RINOs for good!

If we go by the OnTheIssues.org placement, then Thompson and all the following are conservatives and not RINOs:
Romney, McCain, Huckabee, Hunter, Graham, Lott, Hatch, and maybe some more, that’s as far as I got... I’m just saying.

OnTheIssues has one catch in that it relies on voting records mostly. If there is no actual vote record, they mark it as right in the middle, so if someone was, for example, a mayor, it may show them as moderate on an issue instead of left based on their standing. They are good for senators and congressmen because they weigh votes.

Yeah, but my point is, regardless of how they score it, their grid does not identify RINOs and appears, at least to me, to not accurately place anyone... other than to give a very vague notion of left/right/up/down. There is no real analysis behind it. McCain for example, while having enough “conservative” votes to keep him in the conservative “box” has done more than enough clearly non-conservative things to throw him out.

It doesn’t identify RINO, it identifies conservative vs liberal > authoritian vs populist voting records. The RINO label really is dependent on those who are placing the label and what they consider key issues. For some here, a person could have a 90% Conservative voting record and be wong on one thing and they are labeled a RINO (see Thompson) for others, they could have a 50% conservative voting record and be held up by some as the perfect Constitutional Conservative (Paul)

Well, I’m pretty sure there’s somewhere we disagree, so he’s got to be a RINO!

Am I supposed to take this thread seriously with Fred Thompson on the list as a RINO? This has got to be a joke, but I’m not hanging around in this thread for the punch line.

If your post is what I think it is, you’ve done well so far.

Although Ahnold deserves to be in the ‘RINO’ category (actually he is more of a Democrat - although in this State - Democrats are closer to communists, so perhaps its fair to call him ‘RINO’), I still prefer him over Davis - and you have to tip your hat to him for having a good sense of humor, and ‘reasonable leadership’ capabilities (although how you lead a State that is hell-bent to drive off a cliff, is beyond me...).
