Does torture make sense if are drugs better?
A discussion today at my local VA hospital got one staffer admitting that people under certain drugs said things that they'd never reveal under torture....and they never remember their comments.
Is this true? If so, why all this debate on torture?
I believe that the torture issue has nothing to do with torture, but everything to do with giving lawyers access to detainees, then following it up with enriching lawsuits.
Does anybody know about this, or have any thoughts?
Don’t really need to hurt anyone, just bring in a big hog, and tell the muzzie you’re going to do a blood exchange. Just don’t let PETA know!
I think you’re lying... ;)
I totally agree with you. All this torture crap is made up by greedy lawyers.
I never believed that such nice people like Americans would torture detainees. After all Middle Ages are long gone...
I saw a few minutes of a PBS show on the evil Americans torturing the poor moslems. One goat humper claims the CIA drugged him with a suppository. I bet *THAT* was administered in a careful, caring way...
I really don’t expect many to understand what I just typed (or worse, I’ll be questioned of how I don’t have emotions for thousands murdered by crazed killers). My enemy is the devil, and the devil hiding in human flesh.

The Tears of My Soul, by Hyun Hee Kim
On November 29, 1987, two North Koreans were arrested in Bahrain, suspected of the terrorist bombing of Korean Air Flight 858 in which 115 people died. One of the suspects committed suicide on the spot; the other, the author of this memoir, swallowed poison but survived. Extradited to Seoul, Hyun Hee confessed, was tried, convicted and sentenced to death. The court later granted a full pardon, ruling that she was not the true culprit in the bombing but an innocent victim of North Korean indoctrination. Here Hyun Hee reveals how she was recruited and trained, and provides details of the bombing. Her depiction of North Korea’s Orwellian society is convincing and vivid: it is a world where children patrol the streets and report the slightest ideological infraction and where a citizen speaking disrespectfully of “Beloved Leader” Kim Il Sung can be summarily bludgeoned to death. Also affecting are Hyun Hee’s comments about the culture shock she experienced in Seoul and her search for redemption through Christianity. This is a chilling account of brainwashing and subsequent deprogramming. Photos.

“ok ok ok...I take da drog”
(an hour later)
“Maki...maki...wakey wakey...”
“huh”...hey..how come I’m all wet?”
“we had to test the “board”, so we asked you and you said...surrre”
“I did?”
“eyep, right after you told us about the “plans” and who what and where...Osama’s not gonna be happy”
“...can I have more drugs?”

WWJBD?
Rule 1: The Left is dishonest.
Rule 2: When in doubt, refer to Rule 1.
Apply Rule 1 to the "torture" debate. It has nothing to do with "torture". The purpose of the "torture" debate is to discredit the United States, to de-moralize the population of America, to get America to give up and lose the war on terror. It's sad that Dummkopfs like McCain and Lindsay Graham have signed up for and lead the commie campaign on this non-issue.
So, bringing the idea that we use drugs instead of "torture" to get life-saving information is totally, completely, 100% beside the point. Let's say you suceed. What will the Left-fascists and Islamo-fascists do then? They would start a campaign complaning about the US using drugs on the poor, harmless, innocent terrorists.
Recommmendation: Ignore the details of the "torture" debate and expose the Left-fascists and Islamo-fascists for their America-hating, terrorist supporting selves. Then call for a vote and see who wins.
There are drugs that will do strange things to your mind. But training can condition you to not reveal what you do not want to reveal.
