Hillary: "I wasn't at my best the other night"
The Examiner ^ | November 6, 2007

Posted on 11/06/2007 8:20:41 PM PST by yorkie

On today's "The Situation Room," Sen. Hillary Clinton opened up about her widely-discussed performance during last week's MSNBC debate. (You can watch the video here on Breitbart.tv)

"I wasn't at my best the other night," Clinton told CNN's Candy Crowley. "We have had a bunch of debates, and you know, I wouldn't rank that up in my very top list." Following the debate, Clinton's opponents for the 2008 Democratic nomination (as well as Hillary detractors generally) criticized the New York senator for being dishonest and evasive, and for flip-flopping on several issues.

But Clinton disagreed with some of the criticism:

I have answered probably -- oh, I don't know, more than 5,000 questions in the last 10 months. And I have been very clear about where I stand and what I want to do for the country. I have laid out very specific plans on how we are going to have a different energy agenda, how we are going to have a health care plan that covers everybody, how we are going to improve our education system and all of the other issues that people talk to me about, as well as what we need to do to restore America's leadership around the world. And I have even put out how I'm going to pay for each and every one of the policies that would cost money.

Crowley also pressed Clinton about the White House records from her husband's administration and whether there was anything she could do to expedite their release.

We have tried and, as I said, he has done more than any other president and has never withheld any document that has been processed to be ready to be released.

During the debate, Clinton struck some as evasive when it came to her answer about driver's licenses and illegal immigrants. Crowley asked Clinton, "If I wrote a story that said: 'Absent a broad illegal immigration bill, Hillary Clinton agrees about giving driver's licenses to illegal immigrants,' is that correct?" Clinton responded:

No. What I have said is that I support what governors are trying to do. And governors are on the front lines because of the failures to get comprehensive immigration reform. There are already eight states that issues driver's licenses without any verification of citizenship. That is a decision that the governors and legislatures and the people of those states have made. ... I think that if you go back and look at the complexity of this issue, I don’t think a lot of these hard questions lend themselves to raising your hand. And I know that that’s easier in a 30 second context to try to do.

Finally, Clinton addressed the heat she's received from the other Democratic candidates following the debate:

If they want to use their energy attacking me, that’s their choice. I am going to use my energy focusing on a new energy policy and so much else. I’m not running anybody else’s campaign and I love what Harry Truman said if you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. And I’m really comfortable in the kitchen. So I’m staying in.

I beg to differ...the Hildebeast’s performance in the debate was as good as she will ever be, and better than she has ever been!

Hillary, your best just ain’t good enough.

It’s time for you to Move On.

>>The only reason that she is in the running … she is a female. There is no other reason.<<

I’m thinking of another reason:

The Dems want their boy Bill back in the White House. If she (Heaven forbid!) does become POTUS, it will be Bill Clinton running our country as President-by-proxy.

She has no best. And if, God forbid, she does cheat her way into the White House, Bill will be toooooo busy with all the chicks, man, to run the country. She will be running it with an iron fist.

“I have laid out very specific plans on how we are going to have a different energy agenda [although it is probably scientifically unfeasible], how we are going to have a health care plan that covers everybody [just like Canada, Britain, and France - we know how well they work], how we are going to improve our education system [just like I did in Arkansas - when it went to almost the bottom of the country when I was in control] and all of the other issues that people talk to me about [”What are you going to do for me when you become President”], as well as what we need to do to restore America’s leadership around the world [as if there is any other country who can lead]. And I have even put out how I’m going to pay for each and every one of the policies that would cost money [raises taxes on those lucky rich people - because all of the selfish “poor” people would be down for that].

GAWD! She IS a light weight, and a worse flip flopper than John Kerry ever dared to be. The answer ANY presidential candidate should have made, Democrat or Republican should be:

" I will act to secure our national borders anyway I legally can, despite State positions on what is a national perogative of our federal government."

Hillary can't even tell the American people what they want to here even after amnesty was destroyed in Congress by popular response to congressional representatives by constituants? She would rather foist her own ideology on American from her back room in the White House? This proves it.

But Hillary the light weight, thinks that avoiding the issue is what America wants? She is a buck passer, no buck will ever stop at her desk if she is elected president. She doesn't have what it takes to be president, by a long shot. Internationally she would be run over like a a cat tied to the tracks by freight trains like Putin, and Ahmadinijad. What a laughing stock she would be as president. Jimmy Carter looks like a prince when compared to Hillery Clinton, and he was by far the worst president of the United States of the 20th Century. Look at Jimmy's legacy to us in Iran and Iraq. Imaginne what Hillary's legacy to the nation would be in 20 years!

She just lost her candidacy last night. The ogress has been slain. She is double "D" done, and thank goodness for that! She is the best the Dems have? And many think Hillary is unbeatable by Duncan Hunter should he attain the Republican nomination?? What a laugh that is.All Hillary has is money, and that can't recreate her in an image that America would vote for.

Duncan would be all over her sh_t in 30 seconds, sound bite or no!

All Hillary has left is her sex appeal ploy! (LOL):

She’d do better if she got back in the kitchen and left Bubba to do the campaigning. That’s who the left really wants and we all know it.

>>She will be running it with an iron fist.<<

She is coniving, deceptive, crass, loud, screechy, pushy, arrogant, tough and very dangerous. But she is not smart - at least not smart enough to run this country.

Nice dodge Hellary ... but that wasn't the question

Crowley also pressed Clinton about the White House records from her husband's administration and whether there was anything she could do to expedite their release.

We have tried and, as I said, he has done more than any other president and has never withheld any document that has been processed to be ready to be released.

Another dodge ... and if IIRC ... he not only won't release documents .. he had Sandy Burger steal some

Oh and who is doing the processing of these documents???

No. What I have said is that I support what governors are trying to do. And governors are on the front lines because of the failures to get comprehensive immigration reform

Seems Hellary likes to play dodge ball

The question at the debate was not about governorS ... it was specifically about Gov Spitzer and his EO

Do you think her ego would let Bill tell her how to run things? He’s been one flying ashtray away from Ft. Marcy Park for years.

She would be so dependent on him that she might even give him back his little black book.

Awwwwww, she wasn’t at her best. Poor thing. Well, that changes everything. I mean, anybody can have a bad day, can’t they? You’re excused Hill, all is forgotten. We’ll never mention that episode ever again because it just wouldn’t be fair of us guys to you women. Would it?

Yeah, right. Actually, we’ll NEVER forget it, babe. It revealed you as the hollow shell you are. A pathetic front for your adulterous husband to take another stab at running the country into the ground with an armload of tired ideas.
