GWU Student's Swastika Claim Unravels (Hate Crime Hoax)

A George Washington University student who told school officials that someone had drawn swastikas on her dormitory room door was responsible for the incidents, a university spokeswoman said yesterday.

The WP account of this story claims that the student in question "will not face student judicial action", but Michelle Malkin's account from yesterday states "The individual will now face student judicial action and a determination will be made as to whether District of Columbia and/or federal laws were violated".

So what will happen? Will this student face student judicial action or not?

This is the second fake incident of racism at GWU recently. Adam "Elvis" Kokesh and accomplices faked a racist flyer and blamed the YAF Chapter on campus.

In an interview with The Hatchet Monday evening, Marshak, said she only drew the final three of six swastikas on her door in an attempt to highlight what she characterized as GW’s inaction. Only hours earlier, Marshak categorically denied the charges.

That's why you tell her that you have video of her drawing the last swastika. Then, when she cops to the only the last one, you tell her that you have video of her drawing the last two swastikas... ;)

Such hoaxes are bigoted and hateful, and sadly our society shows far too much tolerance for them. We ought to view fake-victims with the same disgust we view real perpetrators of such actions.

We ought also to recognize the real perpetrators of yesterday tended to be Democrats, just as the fake victims of today. The Democrats were the party dehumanizing bigotry during slavery, the party of KKK bigotry in the old south, and the party of PC hyper-victim-hood bigotry today.

These types of stunts do a lot of damage and create needless fear and paranoia. I think the effects of this would be particularly intense on a college campus, which tends to have a more closed and tight knit atmosphere than the non-campus community.

But there remains a question (according to the ever-accurate WaPo) of this student’s facing a campus judicial review?

I don’t really think one is that much worse than the other so why isn’t she barred from campus ? Not to mention, she needs a good shrink. They both do.
