And the intelligence services. They have been playing both sides of the fence for a long time.

Wow, that is interesting. If they can roll up the bad elements in the ISI, that could uncover all sorts of interesting things.

Either is preferable to Al Qaida.

This is long overdue, and necessary to take the garbage out.

Suspend the Constitution.
Muzzle the press.
Fire the “men in black” on the Supreme Court who supported enemies of the republic.
“Turn out the lights”...

Then clean house...
This is one of the advantages of a dictatorship....
You needn’t put up with the terror or murderous actions of militant islamists.

For ANY “democracy” to succeed - you’ve got to have a population rid of those who will use the protection of a constitution and terror to create chaos and pandemonium.

There is a delicate balance between “freedom” and “anarchy”.
Perhaps we should pay attention to how it’s done.

I am. The UN will have nothing to do with it, and India has ALREADY approved (of course)

Things are not going well there. Or in a lot of places.

That’s exactly where I’m at in this cycle. Fighting terrorism seems like it tops the list of priorities.

Their arsenal of nukes makes Pakistan's look like a collection of firecrackers

The difference being that, with Western values, the Russians could be trusted to actually think that a nuclear war was a BAD thing. Islamo-fascists truly believe in the heart of hearts that anything that brings Islam to global domination is a good thing... even if it means a few hundred million dead.

I agree with what Musharruf has done. If the other world powers don’t like it, tough. He’s doing what needs to be done, and if our President had any backbone he’d come out and tell the anti-war pundits in this nation the same thing. I know I would.

FNC”Suspending basic rights may buy Musharraf time, but his emergency powers could embolden Islamic militants”

Of course, taking action always strengthens Islamic militants. the only way to beat them is to lay down and play dead. /s

You want the President to suspend the Constitution and declare martial law?

Uh...

Now that's not what I meant. I just meant having a president with more a backbone and tell things like it is, like Reagan.

Not suprising. Pakastan has always been trouble from the time it first became independent.

True, it is not always perfect, but compared to a military dictatorship, or worse, an Islamofacist governed nation is AWAYS much worse, plus one with nukes.

From seeing that picture of your beloved late Corky, shows beauty is ageless. She must have been a true sweetheart of a cat to the end. I have four cats, two boys, two girls myself. =^..^=

That picture says it all. Ironic, this week, Animal Planet is doing specials about the tiger and it is the same animal that is pictured here. Great presentation.
