Not important but May 12 is my B day.
You share the same birthday as my cat Corky, she passed away at the age of 18 in September.
I also found and took in a mother cat and three kittens that date in 2001.
Getting back on topic, Glenn Beck is a fave of mine too along with Mike Savage and Chuck Harder. I just hope that if things blow up over there, somehow we get a hold of those atomic bombs before the Islamists do.

Pakistan going to democracy will cause the Islamowhackos to eventually take control. Mushman needs America now. He is going to take out Al Queada with the blackout going on.
The bad thing about introducing democracy over there is that you stand a good chance of not getting the results you hoped for. The people could elected an Islamo-fascist to power and in the end, we would be screwed. Democracy does have it's warts, too bad they can't have more of a Republic like we do.

she is a distraction he doesnt want right now. Or a potential ally against the Islmofacists of AQ? They, Musharraf and Bhutto, need each other right now.

The West will not find this to their liking. They had pressed Musharraf to cut a deal with Benazir Bhutto to transition back to democratic processes, hoping that the deal would give them both a stronger political position and marginalize the Islamists.Sending Benazir Bhutto back into Pakistan is a strategic mistake on the same level as Germany sending V.I. Lenin back into Russia after the armistice on the Eastern Front. Her presence is like throwing gasoline on the fire and may hasten the downfall of the Pakistani government.

Wow...Pakistan’s gonna blow. Troops in the Supreme Court, a state of emergency, media blackout. Al-Q is disgruntled about their failures in Iraq so now they’re gonna start a shebang in Pakistan. Is Musharraf safe? This is the kind of atmosphere where assassination attempts are not unexpected...

>Guess Democracy is not going to be on the menu today.
You better hope not, or they will vote in Islam as the new and permanent rulers.
Democracy at any cost is not the way.

but in the border regions the fundamentalists seem to have free reign.
Yup, it’s time to clean up the northwest areas. Politically the move wouldn’t do any more damage and coordinated with Afghanistan and coalition troops there could serve to put a death squeeze on al Quaeda and Taliban.

I think you may be right- things are dicey enough there right now- and given the near-death experience she had there last month- this will just add to the chaos.
Wonder how India is reacting- off the radar...

Nothing like a little unrest in a nuclear armed nation. I seem to remember tanks shooting at the parliament building, live on CNN, in the country formerly known as the Soviet Union.
Their arsenal of nukes makes Pakistan's look like a collection of firecrackers.

Things are heating up there. Not a safe place for anyone. I think it's time for Obama to go there and talk them down.

Big difference here - a bunch of Islamic fanatics are at the doorsteps of power in pakistan - ready, willing (hopefully not able) to use that nuke arsenal (albeit limited)

Her presence is like throwing gasoline on the fire and may hasten the downfall of the Pakistani government. The Pakistani government is already falling, but it's because of the combination of (a) being a heroin-based narcoeconomy and (b) being chock full of lunatic Islamists, particularly Muslim "scholars" and their 22,000 madrassas which teach memorization of the Koran in Arabic, but not the Arabic language.
Bhutto has been brought in to signal one and only one thing: we are going to stop the Islamist tidal wave.
And, yes, it WILL get worse before it gets better.

Per FOX NEWS-Bhutto’s house has been surrounded by para-miltary...and the White House states Musharraf must step down as head of the Army.
FOX will be getting new video footage from Pakistan shortly.

You better hope not, or they will vote in Islam as the new and permanent rulersEverything of the last 4 to 8 weeks is saying that the showdown is near with the Islamists. Bhutto is being brought in to reassure the non-Islamist segments of Pakistan society that a brighter day is near. And to signal to the Islamists that "your day is finished".
Expect violence and lots of arrests in the next couple of weeks.
