He's Saudi author and cleric, "Dr." Muhammad Al-'Arifi, who in a remarkable segment broadcast on Saudi and Kuwaiti television in September, counseled young Muslim men on how to treat their wives. "Admonish them – once, twice, three times, four times, ten times," he advised. "If this doesn't help, refuse to share their beds." And if that doesn't work? "Beat them," one of his three young advisees responded. "That's right," Al-'Arifi said. He goes on to calmly explain to the young men that hitting their future wives in the face is a no-no. "Beating in the face is forbidden, even when it comes to animals," he explained. "Even if you want your camel or donkey to start walking, you are not allowed to beat it in the face. The scary part is that there’s some truth to what you say.
In other countries, Muslims have tried to defy the national and local laws, saying that they only observe sharia laws.
Sooner or later, some whacked-out sh*t for brains judge (in Europe) is gonna say “Yeah, you guys are right. You only have to obey your religious laws”.
Sooner or later, a Muslim is gonna try the same thing in a US court. His lawyer (likely from the ACLU or CAIR) will say “My client does not recognize the laws of (for example) Missouri, etc. etc. etc. He only recognizes sharia law. And based upon European precedent, he does not have to obey the laws of the US or any state”.
Some whacked-out, sh*t for brains judge (in the US) will say “Yeah, you guys are right. You only have to obey your religious laws. After all, we have a precedent.”
And then things will really start going downhill for the United States.
Call me paranoid, call me whatever. But the way our judicial system works, I can’t picture this sort of thing as being far off.
After all, members of our US Supreme Court (Kennedy, Ginsburg) have been on record as saying that they look for international laws as precedent for cases here in the US.

Actually, in my harshest day I was always circumspect about hammering the little woman. I'm not exactly the man of steel, and I have to sleep from time to time. Isn't it often true that what goes around comes around?
Seriously, I have always thought a lass must be pretty squashed psychologically to put up with such ideas even in the serious discussion form. To carry that thought to its conclusion is beyond the pale.

What does a link about Christian men spanking their wives prove? Not, of course, speaking personally, this sounds like, according to some, the site just shows that Christians have more fun.

I had a man once raise his hand to strike me...I told him if he didn’t put that hand down, I’d kill him. He lowered that hand right away. It’s funny when I think about my audacity now — he was much bigger than I — something like over 6 feet and a good 270 or 280. He could have killed me instead. But I was young and thought I could take on the world. I wouldn’t take any karp from him and I won’t from any man. Of course, that was the end of the relationship.
And this was a guy my mother absolutely loved. She couldn’t understand why I broke up with him. Never told her or my father — my Dad (all 5’4” and 130 pounds soaking wet) would have killed him just for thinking about striking me.
