A state court judge is set to toss out California's new process for executing condemned inmates.
State prison officials revised the lethal injection process in May. A federal judge temporarily halted executions in the state after finding that prison officials were inadequately trained and equipped to administer the three-drug cocktail during executions.
Marin County Superior Court Judge Lynn O'Malley Taylor says prison officials bungled when they failed to treat the revised execution method as a new state regulation. That would have required public comment and the approval of the Office of Administrative Law.
Taylor's ruling is tentative. Government lawyers will get a chance Wednesday to change the judge's mind during a court hearing.

Of course it isn't surprising - she is in Marin County - just another Liberal judge defying the will of the people with her own agenda.

Let’s hope that if one of these thugs gets out of jail eventually, the judge will be his first victim.

I’m for dropping a garbage can filled with rocks onto them from a height of 50 feet. That should be quick and painless enough.

Damn! Just bring back the firing squad, using M-16's on full auto. That oughta take care of the problem> At least that way, they won't have to worry about mixing of cocktails, until after the execution...

I heard California’s new death penalty is tossing flowers at the convicted who is tied to a chair with velcro hand restraints until dead.

Incredulous, but a reasonable solution to a failure in procedure.

The gas chamber was my personal favorite. Let them suffer. Make them draw their last breath!

prison officials were inadequately trained and equipped to administer the three-drug cocktail during executions. How hard can that be? There are only three parts!
And who exactly is qualified? 80 year old former Nazi concentration camp executioners?

Place the perp in a training capsule, a low pressure chamber, then withdraw the ambient air. Totally painless loss of consciousness and life. This is what happened to Payne Stewart - a crack in the cockpit; he never knew what happened, no suffering, no nothing. A perfect death.

Jesus, why don’t they just shoot them in the back of the head? Quick, simple, cheap, painless and effective.
